First White Day for Squall

It was an excellent day, no rain and no wind; the sun was shining friendly. At that day, Balamb Garden was "parking" at one of the cities that they would meet. The city seems to be crowded with the boys from Balamb Garden. They are shopping at that city. Reason??.... well, it's because 2 days later is White Day, where the boys who received the Valentine present must return it with another present.

While the other boys are shopping and finding present for their love, there was a black shadow that was quickly moving and hiding from one place to another. It was Squall. He was finding some present for Rinoa's White Day's present. He seems to be embarrassed to be at a shop just to find some present that seems to fits the girls.

Finally he gave up and headed to the shop exit door, as slowly as possible so no one would notice that he was there. BUT..... before he had moved more than 2 steps from the exit door a voice shouted to him.

"SQUALL!!! Have you found your lovely Rinoa a White Day present?"

It was Irvine, who was also shopping in that shop finding a present for White Day (do you know who the present's for?).

"SSSTTTTT!!!!" Squall was very embarrassed and quickly walked out of the shop. Irvine followed him and again asked the question that made Squall tumble down.

"Irvine Kinneas! Don't you have any other thing to do?!" asked Squall, he almost lost his temper because he was too embarrassed.

"huh? Oh... I'm just shopping around to find some little presents for the girls who have given me their Valentine present on Valentine day" said Irvine. As usual he was happy. " And I've bought a special present for dear Quistis" he continued.

"Back to the main question, have you found the White Day present for Rinoa??" asked Irvine for the th ird time. This time Squall just stayed silent as usual because they were far from the crowd and were inside the Balamb garden sitting on one of the benches.

"I have an suggestion for you, how about you buy something good for Rinoa?" said Irvine.

"How about you buy a jewel or a flower or maybe a necklace. You wont need to buy her a ring since she already has yours and hers on her necklaces. Or maybe you can buy her a swimming dress or a bra.... that probably fits to her bo......"

BOMMMM........

Before Irvine finished his words, a big vas landed on his head.

".......dy"

"Did I say something wrong" said Irvine with his honest voice while Squall had already walked away from there towards Balamb Garden.

"Irvine Kinneas no Yatsu...." murmured Squall.

While walking inside the Balamb Garden going to his room, Squall meet Zell.

"YO Squall!! have you found Rinoa a White Day present yet???" he asked. In his hand there was a small model of an automobile. Squall didn't answer Zell's question.

"Don't say you haven't bought it?!" said Zell again.

"No, I haven't. How about you?" asked Squall not yearning to know.

Zell showed the small model of the automobile to Squall. It's a model of Ragnarok for Selphie. "It's cost all of my savings that I have here." said Zell.

"Who told you to get a girlfriend that likes automobile?" commented Squall.

Before Zell answered Squall's last question, suddenly....

"SQUALL!!!! ZELLL!!!"

Selphie walked from another side of the place. Meanwhile, Zell was very surprised and then panicky tryi ng hiding the present that he bought. He actually found a good hiding place in a short time, the Balamb garden trash can, the trash can where if you throw any trash they'll all go towards the main trash box. He didn't think twice when he threw it there.

"uh... HI Selphie!" said Zell.

"You guys are quick at shopping! Have you guys got your presents??" asked Selphie.

"I have!"

"I haven't."said Squall with a bad-mood voice.

Zell and Selphie were surprised that Squall was really in a bad mood just because he hadn\rquote t found a White Day present for Rinoa. Before Selphie said another word, Squall quickly walked through them heading to his room and Selphie, full of curiosity, followed him from behind. \par After Selphie and Squall vanished into the cadets bedrooms corridor.

"ARRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!! Why did I throw it in to the trash can!!!! It has cost all of my savings....!!!!! Damn I have to find it before it gets burned up too!!!" cried Zell. He had just realized that he had thrown a beautiful little model of an automobile into a SUPER DUPER LARGE trash can, and that means hard work just to find it IF the little model hadn't been burned up as a real trash.

Meanwhile back to Selphie and Squall, they both walked towards the cadets room. Inside Squall's room, Squall flew himself into his bed and then started to think again and again what to give to Rinoa for this White Day. A minute later, Selphie got to his room.

"What's wrong?" asked Selphie.

"You know..... Now get out!" said Squall unwilling to talk more. But Selphie did not give up that easy.

"Come on!!!! Why don't you trust this old cute little friend of yours?" said Selphie.

Squall was silent for a while and then he got up and sat on his bed.

"Selphie, what is the thing you want most for your White Day present?" he asked.

"RAGNAROK!!!!" answer Selphie quickly.

"Other please!" said Squall.

"For Rinoa isn't it???" guessed Selphie.

"If you knew it, JUST TELL ME WHAT!" said Squall and he was blushing too. Selphie just smiled looking at Squall blushing. It was unusual thing to see you know.

"Well.... Not everyone had the same likes. But if you want to hear my advice, I think you'd better make the present by yourself, you know.... a hand-made present." said Selphie. Squall just shut up and thought for a while.

"Example?"

"Well.... maybe Chocolate or a hand-made doll. Or maybe I'll ask Rinoa." suggested Selphie. Squall quickly rejected the last idea.

"After I think about it, I'd better take the second choice." said Squall.

Selphie nodded and smile. "Come one Squall! FIGHT!"

"But... " said Squall seriously.

"What?"

"Could you please help me buy the things to make it?" asked Squall.

Selphie laughed a bit. " Oooo.... Squall... why you need to be so shy like that?! You'll just get some funny-hysterically-reaction from the girls"

"Shut up and take this money!" said Squall, Selphie took it and did a peace symbol with her hand; she quickly ran out from the room. Half an hour later she has gone back to his room with a bunch of things.

"Here! I've bought you a one girl-sewn-doll, so you don't need to make and sew a doll, you just need to put eyes, mouth, cloths.... etc to it. Soo..... You just need to make a little doll of Rinoa!" said Selphie.

"Thank you, but....." said Squall scratching his head. "I don't remember her face 100%, could you please take her photo for me without her noticing"

Selphie couldn't help herself from laughing at Squall. " Geezzz, Squall.... she is your girlfriend! How can you not remember her face?! OK Ok.... just leave it to me, ok?"

At last, after he got everything he needed, Squall started his NEW mission. But of course this mission is not an easy one. You could tell it if you had heard him yell OUCH 20 times in the first 15 minutes.

"OUCH! Damn.... Why is the needle is soo small?? Ouch!" cried Squall while he put his wounded fingers in his mouth. Suddenly there was a knock at the door.

Squall! It's me! Why you are shouting like that?" it's Rinoa's sound!

"Wha.... ?? Ri.... Rinoa?! That .... err.... I ... " Squall quickly hid the tools that he was using to make the doll and his hands behind his back right before Rinoa went in.

"What's the matter?" asked Rinoa.

"That.... err.... I... I.. I had a Nightmare! Yes A NIGHTMARE! I was probably babbling it out while sleeping." said Squall a bit nervous too.

"oo.... just a dream? What a relief ..... Sorry to bother you Squall-chan" said Rinoa looking really relieved and then smiled to Squall. "Well... I'd better go back to my room then"

Squall gave a nod to her and then Rinoa left his room. After Rinoa has gone out of his room, Squall quickly took all of his sewing tools and others o ut. He was preparing to go a good place to make his White Day present. After checking that it was safe to move, he quickly tip-toed to the Balamb Garden Clinic.

"Squall? What on earth are you doing in this room? Is someone sick?" asked Dr. Kadowaki.

"No... " Squall told everything to Dr Kadowaki as quickly as possible. Dr Kadowaki just smiled and gave Squall permission to use one of the rooms in the clinic.

"You're lucky that there isn't a patient now." said Dr. Kadowaki.

Squall just smiled a bit, "Thank you."

That night, Squall tried to make and sew the doll without hurting his fingers, but it seemed that he couldn't. You could hear him cry for his new-wound at his fingers or some damn-ass-etc every 10 minutes. Selphie who was watching him was quite worried about him.

"Is there anything that I could help?" asked Selphie.

"No... just leave me alone" said Squall.

"Do you know White Day is tomorrow?" said Selphie.

"WHAT?!" cried Squall; he was surprised.

"Well... it's afternoon now, I think you'll be making the dolls the whole night." said Selphie. Squall could just mumble-jumble and murmured; he was just half done with his work.

"Can I make it in time..?" murmured Squall.

"SURE YOU CAN!!! Don't give up!" said Selphie, trying to give spirit to Squall.

Squall just smiled a bit to Selphie.

"Thanks "

At last it's White Day.

All of the boys are busy finding their girlfriends. Well, the one that is a Mr. Busy was probably Irvine. Zell gave his present to Selphie, a Ragnarok model. Luckily he found it at the main trash can before it was burned up as trash.

"I'm lucky I saved it " said Zell inside his heart.

Selphie opened the gift that Zell had given to her and she jumped with happiness when she saw what the present was.

"Thank you Zell!!!!!" cried Selphie. Zell just smiled.

"You like it?" asked Zell.

Selphie nodded. "Next year give me the original Ragnarok ok?"

Zell just stared at Selphie with shock.

But not every girl is happy that day. Rinoa was sitting by herself in the lobby alone.

"Squall-chan.... is he going to give me a present or not?" she thought.

Suddenly....

"... Ri..noa... "

Rinoa jumped in surprise to see Squall suddenly appear in front of her. His hair was really untidy and his face was in a really bad condition too. His eyes were a bit blue because he hadn't slept for 2 night.

"Squall-chan?"

"wha... what have you been to? Yesterday I tried to find you but... " cried Rinoa, she was worried. Squall just smiled and then handed something to Rinoa.

"Here.. it's for you... sorry I didn't ... wrap it... I didn't have the time." Squall told her.

Rinoa received the doll that he had made and smiled.

"THANK YOU SQUALL-CHAN!!! cried Rinoa. She hugged Squall with happiness. Everyone in the lobby just smiled at the scene. Then Rinoa suddenly realized something strange.

"Squall-chan, since when were your gloves white?" asked Rinoa

Squall was surprised that she notice it. "Er... that... !!" Squall was panicking trying to find a good excuse before he got embarrassed because that white gloves were the white Band-Aids of his sewing-practice-wound. Selphie, who knew the whole story, just laughed
