Welcome to the Young Capitalists of America (YCA) homepage. This page contains a summary of who we are and what YCA is all about, as well as a veritable cornucopia of intellectual treasures [nearly] beyond compare: a section on how to start your own small business, a tribute section to several great Americans, and a collection of conservatively-minded essays on various topics ranging from animal rights to speech codes on college campuses.

The YCA founding members are two young men from NW Arkansas, Keith Emis, 19, and myself, Tim Emerick, 18. We each started separate landscaping businesses as soon as we were able to drive. Both businesses have flourished; in fact, Keith, at age 17, obtained the landscaping contract for a state-wide bank's seven locations in our home of Washington County. Now, we'd like to be able to pass along the information that we've gathered over the last few years, so that you (or your son or daughter), can see how little it takes to start your own business venture.
