AmeriCom's ClearWorld International Callback Service provides
basic callback access to international long distance services,
using US lines. This means, a customer residing outside the United
States is able to utilize the service by dialing an assigned access
phone number (also referred to as a APN) which rings in the USA.
The customer hangs up after 1 ring, and the system calls the
customer back within seconds, bypassing the local telephone company.

The concept itself is simple. Dial a regular phone number, that
has been assigned by AmeriCom, using your normal dialling procedures. Our
computerized screening system automatically recognizes this as callback.
We have digitally entered your originating phone number into our database.
By dialing this predetermined number you activate the AmeriCom Callback
Network. You have not been charged for this portion of the call.
After you hang up, within seconds the system will call you back. When
your phone rings, you answer the call. At this point you are instructed
to dial your destination number. You then dial the number you are calling
and wait for the party to answer. Only when the party has answered the
call do we begin billing for the call. You are assured accurate call timing
and accurate billing because of the network we have in place which uses
both software and hardware answer supervision. After finishing your call,
you simply hang up or press a button on your phone to place another call.
AmeriCom has negotiated with the largest carriers in the US to assure
the most cost effective pricing in the industry. The system automatically
finds the least expensive route for your call and processes it all via digital
fiber-optic technology; the state-of-the-art in telecommunications. The
entire process adds minimal time to your normal dialling procedure since
you are using high-speed ‘T-1’ processing throughout.

Features, Terms and Conditions
- Calls are billed in 6 second increments with a 30 second minimum.
- There are no sign up fees, billing fees, participation fees
or extra fees of any kind, other than the charges for actual usage.
The customer may sign up and try the service without risk or
obligation.
- To minimize fraud, the customer is not, by default, allowed
to change his callback number. For those customers wishing to change
their callback numbers remotely, an option on the order form is
provided.
- An Extension Feature, sometimes referred to as Auto-Route
is available using either Voice Prompts or DTMF Tones.
The Voice Extension Feature is used when the callback is directed
to a live receptionist. The system repeats: Please connect
this call to extension ###. If DTMF Tones are
selected, the tones representing the desired extension are generated
when the callback is answered.
- Preferred payment method is by credit card. Currently American
Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and VISA are accepted.
- Cash deposits are accepted in lieu of a credit card.
The minimum cash deposit is $250 per APN (or line). In this
case, the customer will receive a detailed invoice by mail. If
the invoice is not promptly paid, the deposit will be used as
payment, and the account will be terminated. Cash deposits may
be sent by Bank Wire Transfer or as an International
Money Order. See below for Bank Wire Transfer instructions.
- A Letter of Credit (LC) may also be used to secure
payment. A Letter of Credit is between the customer and his bank.
The customer's bank will generally provide the LC on their letterhead
and using the bank forms. Due to the cost and effort involved
in obtaining an LC, it is generally used only with accounts billing
$2000 per month or greater. Please contact AmeriCom if you have
a customer who wants to secure his account with an LC.
