sacred vows

        by Annie (Hien) Tran

        sacred vows taken by two
        love each and one another
        honor and cherish forever
        sorrow or anguish till death
tied by more than life itself
        a common belief and bond
a pure love that will not fall
        enduring the path that leads
beyond the start or the end
grasp of time in one's hand
        holding it throughout eternity
        together or apart the space
        or time between the distance
        will never intervene our vows
at the edge of the universe
and at each end of the most
        farthest corners of the earth
        our minds meet across time
love more than a word itself
        marriage a journey that will
never end until the love dies
        two become one and there
are sacred vows taken by two
        words that are never spoken

        words that are never spoken
        walk along your thoughts
        each letter each character
wanting to be told or said
too scared to tell the truth
about what you feel of this
        hurting inside to keep the
        unknown facts and truths
        hiding and holding the past
        aching for the perfect time
when is the right time to tell
        haunting you every minute
never to be heard or learned
        words that are never spoken
        just thoughts wishes and wants
        never had it changed beyond
the time that had moved upon
        minutes to hours to infinity
        memories and passive thoughts
not a voice to be enlightened
        regretted when you had lost
time and space seem to ceases
doomed without a sign to tell
        kept closed behind dark doors
        silenced beyond eternity
held till the depths of the grave
