The SECS is a non -govermental organization (NGO), established in 1975 , targeting all Sudanese .The main goals of the society are to accomplish environmental conservation and rehabilitation , which are inevitable for sustainable development.
The objective of the society are :
#To raise the environmental awareness of the Sudanese Community .
#To avail and monitor environmental laws and regulations through popular participation .
#To initiate , implement and promote replace able projects.
The society works in the ereas of environmental conservation and in raising environmental awareness through the following measures:
# Community development projects .
#Garbage collection , disposal and treatment.
#Community education on environmental issues , pesticides and related problems .
#Encouragement of the involvement of students in conversation programs .
#Environmental health and sanitation programs.
#Rehabilitation of small farms and vegetation cover.
#Environmental beautification.
#Nature conservation campaigns .
#Workshops and conferences on related issues.
#Public awareness (exhibitions , video and radio programs .
#Research and publications .
The SECS has sixty (60) branches around Sudan .The head office is based on Khartoum.

Following the liberation of the Dinder National Park , Sudan Alliance Forces (SAF) leadership , in cooperation with SAF environmentalists and SAF Internet Group , has began a program of Environment Protection in the liberated Ereas generally and in Dinder Territory in particular .This program include the next measures :
SNA/SAF leadership , representing by The Political -Military Bureau , after consultation with SAF environmentalist and other experts and activists , will publish a statement including its positions and recommendations for Environment and Wild Life Protection in the liberated Ereas .The military commanders and SAF fighters and SNA members in these ereas should be obligated to make all measures for this purpose .
A team of International and Regional Environment Protection Organizations will be invited to visit the National Park of Dinder and to monitor on the ground SNA/SAF program of Environment and Wild life protection in this territory , The invitation and the trip will be launched as soon as possible , when the situation in the Erea come to Stability .
SNA/SAF commanders in this sector and SAF leadership will give all its assistance and help to NGOs working in the field of Environmental Protection to work and establish programs in these ereas devastated by the NIF authorities .
Sudanese Environmentalists , the activists in the Liberated Ereas and SNA/SAF members and supporters are invited to organize an Environment Protection Organization , to operate in the liberated Ereas and to carry the programs of Environment Protection and Rehabilitation .
SAF Internet Group will inform all interested Sudanese and International individuals and organization about all developments in this field , its members will also assist in building a Sudanese NGO for Wild Life and Environment Protection to work in the liberated Ereas.
