When I first came up to Halifax to study...being fresh from the french shore I often had to ask for directions. One day I decided to go and try and locate the Provincial Archives. The building being situated in the middle of the educational district...many very educated individuals walk about. I couldn’t locate the building so I approached a student and asked very politely... "Excuse me...could you tell me where the archive is at ?"

This student...in a very arrogant and belittling tone replied... "I’m sorry...but here we are taught never to end a sentence with a preposition !"

"mmmm....I beg your pardon...” I replied....”please allow me to rephrase my question...could you tell me where the archive is at...asshole ?"
