John P. Doucet, Service Number: 222744, served in the Army with the Canadian Infantry, Manitoba Regiment, 85th Bn.

He was the son of Dominique and Luce Doucette of Grand Etang, Inverness Co., Nova Scotia.

John P. was laid to rest in Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery in France.

Cemetery Location: Souchez is a village in the Department of the Pas-De-Calais, 3.5 kilometres north of Arras on the main road to Bethune. It lies in the valley of the Souchez river, between the Lorette Bridge to the west and Vimy Ridge to the east. The Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery is about 1.5 kilometres south of the village on the west side of the D937 Arras-Bethune Road.
