Fred Bear Alaskan Brown Bear
Some of you may have met my daughter "Devo Jr." on the internet. This is
her at age 4 with "Mr. Bear". The adhesive "comic caption" can not be
removed without risk of destroying the photograph now.
In 1988 this Alaskan Brown Bear was the #1 Brown Bear harvest in the
world. It was taken by Fred Bear with one shot from a recurve bow at a
distance of 20 yards. A film of this harvest was displayed at the time that I
was there. The bear is now #2 in the world I believe.

As a point of reference, "Joe Tourist" here is 6'0" and 205 lbs. Notice the bears size in
comparison to the moose next to it.
