Approximately half the deer at Double Diamond were donated to the ranch from the Pennsylvania Dept. of Game and Fish as orphans. A few original ones were purchased and the remainder were born here. One was even donated when he became to big to keep as a pet.

Sometimes the deer are apt to come nearer to you. "Suzy" ( a huge buck) with an interesting history in her name was very friendly. Then there are those that were not bottle fed while a fawn may take 7 or 8 years before they will allow human touch. Previously Viewed Double Diamond Screens:
