" Yateem "    He sat back deep in the large Bamboo chair, stretched  in  the terrace over looking the wide garden with swimming pool, next  where his three kids were having fun trying to push one another   to the water.    Aren't you really lucky Yateem? you have every thing you ever wanted. a fine family, large fancy house, youth, growing  private business, . . and a fat bank account . A blow of cool breeze took him & his thoughts a long way back to when he was desperately looking for a job, any job he would have  accepted after those three hard long years of non-employment.   The job  finally came along in one of the gulf countries with an offer good enough for his small family.  * * * Things went all right for almost five years, he enjoyed being a simple accountant in that large company owned by one of the powerful "Sheikhs"  in that gulf state, he was happy with the easy-going routine & the systematic order of the company.  Every thing was fairly smooth until one day he'll never forget. He was urgently called to meet Mr. Samara at his office.    Mr. Samara the chairman himself ? I didn't know that he even knows me - he told himself on his way to the luxurious office  - maybe it's not me who he wants to see ?    The moment he went in, he had a strange feeling . . .   Mr. Samara went directly to the point;  listen Yateem, you have two choices - spoke the big fat man - and you have only three minutes to take your decision. Either to be handed to the police authorities now, you will be charged and convicted You'll spend the next 10 years in prison. Your family will not even know where about you. OR . . leave this office directly to the airport, there you will meet your family - every thing is taken care of - my secretary will give you the air tickets along with US$ 5,000,000 cash in a suitcase, it's for you if you choose to leave. You'll be going to ( . . ) there you can start a new life with that money, the Inter-pole will not be able to reach you there ! You make up your mind now, there is no time for explanation or answering any silly questions !        . . . . . . .   In a couple of hours Yateem and family were on the air heading to that country where their new home will be .    . . . . . . .  That is a real story . .  I'm sure you - my dear friend - are dyeing to know what Mr. Yateem did to receive that threat of being charged and convicted . . actually,  he did absolutely nothing wrong . .  what under the heaven can a little accountant do ? and if he did something, why then he was offered that generous sum of money instead of getting punished ? doesn't make sense, does it ?      I'll give you some clues;   What if you own a fancy  imported French furniture store and a decoration company, and you have - for many years -  the bad habit of  charging  your customers  twice for  the same item by tampering with the invoices ?,   what if you have a customer with an endless number of new palaces & rest houses to be furnished every year ? ,  what if your customer is too rich to check after you ?  . . and finally, what if that customer of yours was the Head of State ?  .
