The students--the future of SAMPLE
The students are the heartbeat and the future of SAMPLE. Although they are still in elementary school, they still participate in bettering their community and make a difference The SAMPLE students attain better school performance while learning about Native American customs, understanding what being handicapped is like, writing press releases, and tasting such foods as jilebi, an Arabian pastry.
A SAMPLE student enthusiastically stirs some potato salad while making lunch for the homeless. SAMPLE improves Core Skills, such as reading, spelling, test taking, proofreading, writing, grammar, researching, and pronunciation.

SAMPLE develops Life Skills, such as awareness, leadership, responsibility, communication, team building, self-reliance, discipline, and understanding.

SAMPLE cultivates Action Skills, such as volunteering, petitioning, participating, public speaking, letter writing, and problem solving.

SAMPLE students are a diverse mix. They come from all over the South Bay, from different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, and they're all great kids.
