FREEDOM!…………FREEDOM!
The cry goes out…across the land;
We all want to be free,
For that FREEDOM…take a stand.

The oppressor wants to rule us,
Themselves…to be in control;
Need we submit to them,
Need we be cast into that role?

I think not…No…of this I’m sure,
For…free I want to be;
To never have tasted FREEDOM,
Oh, most wretched…are we!

But, once we have our FREEDOM,
We can live no other way;
FREEDOM can’t be bought,
Yet, for FREEDOM…there’s a price to pay.

Others have laid-down their lives,
Gave all…for what we know;
No greater love is there,
This love…they did show.

If the whole world were free,
What a joy…that would be;
Living in perfect peace,
Everyone in complete harmony.

But, is there true FREEDOM,
When an individual is bound?
Can there be peace “without”,
When, “within”…we are still bound?

A way has been provided,
Our Deliverer…paid the price;
If we believe His finished work,
Just once…not twice…nor thrice.

To live each day…in that FREEDOM,
Letting nobody take it away;
Not circumstances…nor trials,
But, agree with what His Word does say.

Replace each word of doubt,
Don’t allow it to take root;
Focus on the positive,
Each and every word of truth.

It takes but one link of chain,
And, another added to it;
Before we realize…we are bound,
We can’t break free of any of it.

So, when doubt arises,
Turn and walk the other way;
No hand-cuffs here,
And, no prison bars for us…today!

Not that we can do it,
For we have tried o’er and o’er;
We need only walk with Him,
He has gone on…before.

As we line-up with His Word,
We’re not alone…you see;
Father comes along-side,
By His power…we are set free.

Change your way of thinking,
Choose His way…and not our own;
FREEDOM comes and FREEDOM stays,
By walking together…never alone.

Let your life display that FREEDOM,
Causing others…to jealous…be;
They will ask about your FREEDOM,
When…that FREEDOM…they do see!
