Another Day
There'll be another spring,
i know,When flowers will replace the snow.
When birds will waken you at dawn,
and pain and sorrow will be gone.
There'll be another spring.
There'll be another day in June when,
once more, life will be in tune
when you will Raise your eyes
and see a whole blue sky,
a towering tree
There'll be another June
But,'till that June and springtime come,
Just close your ears against the Strum Of wind
and sleet upon the pane,
The cold,the loneliness,
and then There'll be another spring.
Untitled
She is a dark and silent little thing
who views an alien world with sullen eyes,
She only knows what terror dawn can bring,
She who has seen storms pour from the skies,
She doesn't know that children's lips were made for laughter.
Though she's nearly eleven she's only learned to cringe,
to be afraid in this short time she has forgotten heaven.
There is no magic fairieland for her,
Life is made up of sharp realities.
Her little breast has never felt a stir of pity
for briused creatures that she sees.
A world where people scurry to and fro,
A world of violence and quick despair,
Has been her lot,
this child who doesn't know
that there is peace and kindness anywhere.
