Notes of All Sorts

Thanks for the quote, Wolfman!

Amy Grant is the prayer artist of January, since she is going through a separation with her husband (Gary Chapman). Please don't gossip about them or judge them, but pray. Thanks!

The winners of the 1998 CCM DL Awards range from Avalon to Christafari. Results are posted at this URL: https://members.tripod.com/~allisoncm/ccmdl/98ccmdl-awards.html If you don't have Internet access, e-mail me and I'll forward the results to you.

Responses To TELL ME

A. If a member of one of your favorite bands recommended a "PG-13" rated movie, would you go see it?

(Christina S.) I did last time.

(David G.) YES! Movie rating is a mess ... some good movies are overrated and may be a good choice for entertainment .... and use discernment ...

(Jeff) It depends, because sometimes artists don't always mean what they say in their lyrics...I would have to hear recommendations from someone i was really close to most likely.

(Lindsay) If the movie looks good and seems like something I would be interested in; then course I would! Regardless of rating, the movie can still be something we can learn from. I mean look at the Bible. If that were made into a movie it'd probably be rated "R".

(Rebekah) Sure! I mean unless... I didn't want to see it... if I knew it was full of sex or something I wouldn't see it.

(Wolfman) Truthfully, it doesn't matter to me who recommends what. I don't pay attention to ratings and such for tv and movies. I'd rather go with my own thoughts and feelings. I think I'm old enough to make my own choices (21). Whether or not "so-and-so" says it's good or bad really doesn't affect me. I don't expect anyone to take my opinion as anything more than that, an opinion. There's things that I like, that others don't. And things that others like that I don't. We're all different and should be able to make our own responsible choices without basing them on what others say.

B. What two people in the Christian music industry would you like to see get together (for a duet, to do a concert tour, to form a band)?

(Christina S.) Brian McSweeney (Seven Day Jesus) and Tiffany Arbuckle (Plumb). Now that would rock!

(David G.) Kevin Max and Rebecca St. James ...

(Lindsay) Plankeye and Broomtree (well at least the lead vocalists)

(Rebekah) Best tour: Shaded Red and The Normals... love the guys in both bands and it would be so much fun!! Cant' wait till Friday at Creation!! They'll be there the same day and I'll have to decide who to spend the most time with.... YIKES

TELL ME
(hit reply to answer the question)

A. [Imagine!] Jaci Velasquez died. Write an epitaph for her (or her family).

B. What do you think about Susan Ashton crossing over into mainstream country? Do you think she'll be able to make it as a country artist?
