Responses To TELL ME

A. Have you heard of Waterdeep? If so, what do you think of them?

(Rebekah) I had heard so much about them but when I listened to them [I] didn't think they were all that outstanding.

(Jeff) Nope, I dont think I have ever heard them.

(Jonathan N.) Yes, they are a very good jam-band.

(David G.) How did you know "Everyone's Beautiful" is right now spinin' down here Err... Any friends at Squint? Just Curious. The guys just sent me the CD for radio airplay, and I've found great stuff and bad stuff after a few listens on the fly. Good intro with "He will come" but my favorite for now is "Whenever God Shines His Light (On Me)" [a tune by Van Morrison], and I'll play it next week on my radio show. http://musicajoven.tvheaven.com

[NOTE: Sorry for not posting the results right away! I bet you'll email me back and say "their CD isn't in my player anymore!"]

B. Who is a Christian artist you have listened to that has changed their musical style? Do you like the way they changed or not? Why?

(Rebekah) When the Send the Beggar guys sent me the new album, it was pretty different from the first, but I think it is probably the most incredible album I've heard in a while. I'm sorry, but most the stuff the Christian market is pumping out now is pretty lame. This one was unbelievable.

(WolfMan) DC Talk has changed their style...what? Like, 50 times?

(Jeff) I would say it woukd have to be dc Talk. They just change their music to go with the popular music of the time. For instant, when Free at Last came out in '92 , rap was in. But when Jesus Freak came out in '97 I think, rockier music was around. They are about the only ones I can think of that have majorly changed their music.

(Jonathan N.) Carman changes with every song, much less album. Sometimes it works, mostly it doesn't.

Silage changed from ska-influenced modern rock to a more wall-of-guitars sound. I like the change a lot. Mostly due to better songs, as opposed to a better style.
