Top-Barry Bonds, during his record setting home run year, offers his bat to teammate Eric Davis. The crowd was chanting E-R-I-C, wanting their hero of the 1990 World Series to bat one last time. This was the Giants last game of the year in Cinergy Field (Cincinnati) and the last game for Davis as an active player.
Below-A local sheep herder walks his small herd down a dirt road in Dubrave Bosnia. It was a rainy day and I was heading out to an assignment somewhere, after I drove about 1/4 mile past the guy did I realize that I should take some pictures. This road is just outside Eagle Base, the biggest U.S. basecamp in Bosnia. (This picture was awarded a 2nd place in "Popular Photography's" August 99 monthly contest).
I spent twenty years in the Air Force, as a photographer. I retired from the Air Force June 2000. I'm now on the photo staff of the Dayton Daily News. God has blessed me in so many ways. It's very humbling.
