Jesús Zamata Quispe comes from a quechua indigenous community called Senccha Chectuyoc (Sencca Checctayoc) in Peru. The community is a part of Sicuani, Cusco (Qosqo). He has been performing andean folk music since he was young. In addition to being a musician, Jesús has studied in Norway and is now working in the oil-industry.
