Puttin' on the Ritz

Tonite we are serving a nice Merlot, but remember, you have to surf back to your room.

This song is for Kathie, who turned Aneeza's Cottage into a beautiful storybook. The song has a name, but we just call it Kathie's Song

Long before deejays and karaoke singing became popular, there was a marvelous man who played the piano nightly at several lounges in the Kansas City Area. He was a small-framed man, who always looked sad somehow. But he knew how to make magic with the ivories. People followed him from place to place. After dinner, people would gather in the lounge to hear Henry play. Some were professional singers, some had titles like "Erwin, that great tenor" and "Ralph the Man From LaMancha",but most were just folks who loved to hear Henry play. If you could belt a tune...Henry followed. If you were a little timid, and forgot the words, as is my claim, Henry would "mouth" the words to you from behind the piano. He just wanted everyone to join in and have fun. Henry is gone now, but I will always remember these songs as my favorites.

Almost Like Being In Love

Here's That Rainy Day

You Are The Sunshine Of My Life

A Love Affair To Remember

God love and care for you Henry.
