The Story An O.R. nurse (who shall remain nameless) at Sibley Hospital in Washington,
D.C. read an ad for "Mrs. Field's Cookie Recipe" and decided
to call the listed number. The person who answered said that yes, it was
the authentic recipe. This person said there was a two-fifty charge. The
nurse put it on her credit card, only to find that when her statement arrived,
the price of this recipe wasn't $2.50, but $250.00! Irate, she called the advertiser again and demanded a refund, but to
no avail. The credit company claimed it couldn't help, either, because
the price had truthfully been stated at "two-fifty." Because
of this, the nurse promised the person on the phone that very day that
she would see to it that the entire population of the North America, and
possibly the world, would receive a copy of this recipe. This recipe comes to you free of charge. As fair and due consideration,
you are asked to distribute copies to all your friends, relatives, and
enemies. It's a small price to pay for this truly expensive recipe! - This recipe's original cost is $250.00 - |
The Cookie Recipe Add: Mix separately: Procedures: Bake on ungreased cookie sheets. Place golf-ball-size cookies 2"
apart, and bake at 375 degrees F. for 6 minutes. NOTES: To make flatter cookies, flatten with a spatula after baking
5 minutes, then bake an additional 3-5 more minutes depending on your oven. Cookies can be frozen; to thaw, microwave for 15 seconds. Yields 100 to 115 cookies. Enjoy! |
