Pieces Of A Shattered Glass
Part 3

Actually, it was a miracle the assassin was still alive. The disease was acquired due to the conditions the read head had been. According to the doctor, lack of food, no water, and terrible weather conditions put the weiß member in his current situation, the weakness of his body might create latter complications and he needed to stay in the hospital for 2 or 3 weeks, he'll also need physiotherapy and lot of rest for at least a month. Manx commissioned Yohji to take care of the read head until he recovered, the tall blond nodded and entered the room his friend was now occupying.

The whole place was purely white, even Aya's flesh...the only colorful thing was the crimson hair of the patient. The soft sound of his paths coming rhythmically with the beeping of the life-supporting machines that were plugged to the bed occupant's as he came closer to the bed siting in the chair aside the bed and rested his arms in the mattress, seeing Aya was no longer shivering he touched the pale man forehead. The fever was gone, but the breathings were the still forced. It pained him in the hearth seeing his friend like that, and he couldn't stop thinking it was his fault....

*Flashback*

Bombay and Siberian went to retrieve the data while he and Abysinian searched for the target some floors above. It was a simple mission, and could have ended that way if the owner of the company weren't already expecting the assassins. By the time he acknowledged what have happened, Farfarello was already pushing him into a wall trying to make him sushi. He saw a briefing flash of orange too.

Schuldig.

The other two were not there. Probably taking care of the rest of weiß. Then, just as fast as they have come, they were gone. He looked around the room. A corpse soaking in it's own blood. At least their leader had time to finish the mission. But where was he?

"Abyssinian, Balinese you're ok?!"

For a moment he didn't know what to do. The sound of his worried friends in his ear didn't helped.

"Damnit Yohji! Aya! Answer us!!"

"I'm okay but....Aya's gone..." Silence in the other end.

*end flashback*

Yohji sighted, he needed a cigarette, now. When he was out he met with pleading cerulean eyes.

"Yohji-kun, Aya-kun is going to be alright, isn't he?"

Worry and hope sparkling in those baby eyes. Yohji couldn't win that little face, whatever he asked for, he have it, "Of course chibi! You know Aya! He needs more than that to be defeated" the tone of confidence of his friend was calming him down, "don't worry kiddo he'll be ok soon, now go home and have some sleep" "Ok Yohji-kun!!" a smile.

~~~~~~~~~~
But Yohji wasn't that sure of it anymore. It has been three days, three days and still the read head haven't awaken. Yohji was starting to worry, but the hospital staff told him it was normal considering the condition of the patient. The nicotine addict entered Aya's room the same way he has been doing for the past three days, and sat in the chair that was next to the bed.
It was funny in a way, he didn't expected for his friend to wake up, he just...liked to be there, seeing his always silent, sometimes psychotic, very stubborn friend, sleeping. They hardly had the opportunity to see that, and it was amazing, and he was really easy to get along with now, to bad we had to found your friendly side under this situation, ne? He reached to take some strands of hair away from Aya's face and on a sudden, the latter stirred, breaking the silence, Yohji jumped a bit but quickly recovered. The ametysth-eyed man was grunting something unintelligible. Yohji reached once more to caress his friend's cheek.
"Where-who---?" Aya managed to say with his cracky voice.
"shhh...it's me, Yohji, Don't worry, you're safe now."
It took a moments for the half-dreaming read head until the words finally reached a significance, when they did, his eyes almost bugged out of his orbs. He jumped from his position trying to get away from the bed but all the tubs and cables stopped him, so he reached the farthest corner away from Yohji. The machine that was connected to his hearth started beeping faster, some others following.
~~~~~~~~~~

What's with Crawford today?! Does that stick in his posterior is giving problems again?! What else does he wants?! he let the kitten go back, he let him live, and still the American wasn't happy! Why did he wanted Fujimiya alive anyway?! he himself said weiß was only useful for them to help Schwartz destroy SS. Why spare the weiß leader?

Better forgett about Crawford, who needs him anyway?! The telephat took his jacket ant departed to some club, ready to go and screw more than just a mind...

~~~~~~~~~~
In a lapses of seconds, Aya passed from the unconscious man in the bed, to the paranoic man in front of Yohji, and he didn't understood it, he looked at those ametysth eyes, he remember seeing them the same way a few days ago, wen the read head appeared in the shop, they were extremely Big, and like a caged animal, it was as if his friend was afraid of him.
Damn! He probably thinks this is some kind of illusion considering he has been with that telephat and his teammates, a confused Aya was the only conclusion Yohji could create.
"Aya, don't worry. Hey! It's me, Kudou Yohji!" he said with the most relaxed voice and smile, to let the man in front of him known he was the real Yohji.
"I know who you are"
The playboy was confused if Aya was there, and he knew Yohji was really there, then why-
"Get out!"
The cracked voice took him away from his thoughts. Aya's hands reached something the read head briefly registered as one of those things you use to call the doctors. Never taking his gaze from the blond, he noticed when he was coming closer to him.
//People just use you...//
Aya shaked his head, trying to make the voice inside go away...
//....just like I do....//
NO!! He was not going to pass for that again and definetly not by this man he have learned to trust!
When Yohji almost reached Aya, some nurses entered the room. Yohji was taken of guard while one of the woman took him by his arm and leaded him to the hallway. From the distance he could still see Aya, who never looked away from the playboy.
"Mr. Kudou, you know you are not allowed to disturb the patients."
"I know, but I didn't do anything...I was just...there" said Yohji a little, ok _really_ worried about his friend, "whatever" she said before returning where the read head was, closing the door. With that, the beeping sounds sounded lower, but they were still irregular and fast, so Yohji stood outside waiting until the beepings came back to it's regular rhythm.
~~~~~~~~~~

The crimson haired man in the bed finally calmed after the shock somehow he received, he was almost sleeping when the nurses heard a low whisper from him, they came closer to heard clearer.

"the blond man...."

"Mr. Kudou?" said one of the nurses.

Something similar to a nod greeted them. "I...don't want him close to me, neither the others...."

//....nobody cares about you...//

"but Mr. Fujimiya they're your frie-"

"I just!!!....I don't want them near me....please...."

One of the nurses nodded "Don't worry Mr. Fujimiya, well do as you said."

And then they exited the room leaving a transtorned red head inside.

~~~~~~~~~~
When the nurses finally exited the room Yohji stood from his position in the floor and looked at them as if waiting an explanation. One of the women came close to him and put a hand over his shoulder. "He's now Ok Mr. Kudou, but you're the one who needs help, why don't you go home and rest a bit? We'll call you when he awakes again"
The woman's voice was charm and it calmed Yohji a bit, but there was something in that smile Yohji didn't liked "o..okay" hesitating for a moment, but at the end accepting, the playboy exited the building. It was dark outside, that means he stood in the hospital more than he tought, Ken and Omi will be sleeping by now, there was no sense of going home now. If I'm awake by now, why don't we make the best of the night?
He jumped to the driver seat of his car. Maybe he could visit that new club across town. He could tell his friends about Aya tomorrow, or should he say when the sun rises?
~~~~~~~~~~

"Ohaio Omi" said Ken coming downstairs the moment he smelled the breakfast.

"Ohaio Ken-kun! Dis you sleep well?" Omi asked as he finished doing the pancakes.

"Yeah, thanks" looking around he noticed one Yohji was missing. "Say, where's Yohji?"

The little blond blinked, "isn't he in his room?" the older man shook his head "no, I knocked twice and nobody answered, so I guessed he was here, it not like he's still sleeping, it's already 10:29"

"Don't weep for me. I'm right here"

"Yohji-kun! Where've you been?!" Ok, that was stupid question. The man smelled of alcohol, cigarettes and something both boys really didn't wanted to figure out...

"I've been in heaven!"

"Yeah? Well, welcome back to earth" snapped the brunette, he really didn't wanted to end in one of Yohji's 'wanna-know-what-I-did-the-whole-night' conversations...again.

"Later Ken. Now I just want to sleep a little" was the last thing the blond said before leadin to his room.

Yohji's bed was so soft, perfect for his 'night activities' a tick white feather comforter covered the King size bed, and a lot of pillows from different shapes colors and sizes all over it. Yohji loved comfort, he'd never understood why Aya could rest in that thing the called bed, actually Aya's apartment was a whole mystery to him. One of these days he'll have to go inside and see what was so spectacular about the room that make Aya stood there for hours. But not today.

Since autumn was beginning, it was still to hot to cover with the sheets, --no matter is the were black silk sheets, which make you feel fresh and light-- but not enough to cover himself, he just took out his clothes and some put some pajamas on. The tall blond jumped to his own mattress. Positioning between the mountain of pillows, he closed his eyes and let his body claim a reward after all the exercise he had done...
