WINGS OF EAGLES Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength, They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Characteristics of an Eagle: The eagle dwells in high places. They are totally committed. They soar alone, dependent on a thermal current. They never partake of anything dead. They are persistent, not easily distracted. Take time for daily cleansing. Fly as high as possible to reach their goal. As a Christian, I want to: Dwell in the high places of God's presence. Be totally committed to staying in His will. To soar dependent on the current of Christ's love. Never to cling to dead issues from my life. To persist in following Christ, no matter what. To spend time each day bathed in the word of God. To fly as high as God wills me to go. The eagle builds it's nest in the highest place it can find. It takes as long as necessary to lay the firm foundation for this home. Wouldn't we do well to build our home in heaven. Not being concerned with what we build for our earthly journey. Let us all strive to build well. Come Up Higher Come up higher, where I am, where the eagle flies, far above the storm. Walk on the highway of holiness, neither looking to the left or to the right but only to Me. My path is narrow but filled with beauty and grace. Come to Me I will move the mountains in your life. I will fill in the valleys. I will refresh you by My Spirit as you drink from My living waters. I will wash you with My Word. Come and drink deeply, and I will satisfy your soul. Be as little children who look to their mother to feed them. Open your mouths and I will fill them with My songs. Praise is the key to My heart. I will lift you up to the heavens as you sing Me a new song. You will behold My face. Come up to the mountain of the living God! I dwell in a high and holy place, but also with the contrite and lowly in spirit. Moses walked and talked with Me, and so can you. Climb My mountain and see Me face to face. I Am that I Am! In order to go higher you must drop the weights. You cannot look back, and you cannot look down. Fix your eyes on Jesus. Look up! Worship at His holy hill. I am waiting for you. I will give you hind's feet for My high places. I will give you eagle's wings, so come up to the mountain of the Lord. Make Me your dwelling place 
VERSE: You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord, who abide in His shadow for life, say to the Lord, "My refuge, My rock in whom I trust"! CHORUS: And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of His hand. VERSE: The snare of the fowler will never capture you, and famine will bring you no fear; under His wings your refuge, His faithfulness your shield. CHORUS: And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of His hand. VERSE: You need not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day; though thousands fall about you, near you it shall not come. CHORUS: And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, and hold you in the palm of His hand. VERSE: for to His angels He's given a command to guard you in all of your ways upon their hands they will bear you up les you dash your foot against a stone. CHORUS: And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn and make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of his hand.
