Whenever you are sad and hurting,
l feel all your pain.
You don't even need to tell me you are,
my heart just knows, and feels the same.
This special bond between you and me,
lets me know when something is wrong.
And calls on me to be your strength,
when l know you are not feeling as strong.
For you, my heart is always open,
with comforting words, and to give you love.
So when you are feeling down and need a lift,
you can lean on me, to help you again rise above.
As l will always be your shoulder, your rock,
your eagle wings to carry you high.
And take you above the dark stormy clouds,
into the open and beautiful blue sky.
For my heart will always be right next to yours,
as we stand together in friendship side by side.
So my heart knows whenever yours is troubled,
and will be right there, to help smooth your ride.
Blessed are we with a close friendship,
enabling us to feel inside each other's heart.
A friendship that will hold our hearts together,
as nothing could ever, pull them apart.
