- Great news to start off. Black & Blue will be #1 on the Billboard Charts, having sold 1.6 million copies in it's first week, according to SoundScan. Way to go, Backstreet Boys & Backstreet Fans!!
- Sadly enough, the Backstreet Boys didn't come near breaking 'N Sync's record, the Boys captured two other records with their latest CD. Black & Blue sold 5 million copies worldwide, making that an international record. Also, for the first time in SoundScan history, the Backstreet Boys are the first group ever to have 1 million-plus first-week sales of back-to-back albums. Personally, I think that's better than breaking 'N Sync's record.
- BSBConcerts.com will be offering ticket packages for every date of the upcoming tour. They will have a NiteOut preshow party packages and even bus packages in some regions.
- GO VOTE in Rolling Stone's Reader's Poll. The Boys are probably up for something.
- Here's how Black & Blue have done around the world:
- MAJOR NEWS: The tour dates for the 2001 Tour have been released. Tickets go on sale December 2nd (of course I'll be in L.A. at that time, why would they go onsale on a day I'm actually HOME). Anyway, you can go to TicketMaster.com, Tickets.com, and BSBConcerts.com to get them, so be ready to stay online, on the phone, or in line for a long time and you better get an early start. You can check out the dates in the Tour Dates section.
- Not much news today. The Boys will be on MTV's Diary this Saturday, December 2nd, at 1pm. Of course it's on when I'm not going to be home....
- Rolling Stone's special issue with the Backstreet Boys on the cover is on magazine stands now, so go out and get it!
- For those of you interested, Brian's wife, Leighanne is starring in a movie called, Olive Juice, remember?? Well, it's rated PG-13, so all BSB fans and fans of Leighanne (me!) can see it. It's going to be out in select theatres on February 2, 2001, but only for two weeks. After that, it'll hit video stores on February 14, 2001. The producers think it'll be a hit. But I must say, having Brian and AJ in the movie will help a tad bit.
- Black & Blue is doing extremely will in Asia. It's become either platinum or gold in that region. Now if we can only find out the numbers in the U.S.
- For those of you who don't believe it, it's the truth. Nick and AJ are single once again. In an article done in Cape Town, South Africa, both have spoken about their recent break-ups. Nick feels he just wants to concentrate on the Backstreet Boys and AJ said his relationship with Amanda Latona just didn't end up the way they saw it ending up. Amanda has moved on however, for she is seeing someone else right now. AJ's still a little heartbroken, but hopefully, with time, love and support from us Backstreet Fans, he'll start to feel better.
- For those of you on the West Coast who are fans of Leighanne or just want to see what kind of actress she is, Wild America is going to be on TNT at 10:30pm. Leighanne plays one of the college girls, Tana Stewart. She's got a few lines and appears at the beginning then at the end of the movie. Watch it all the way through is you want. It's a good movie. If you've already seen it, watch it again....
- "Shape Of My Heart" was today's "Daily Video" in Rolling Stone Daily. It's the second time this video has been chosen.
- Black & Blue is expected to go over the 2 million mark by the end of it's first week, but some say it will probably fall short of 'N Sync's record of 2.4 million. Best Buy has reported to have sold 80,000 copies (I'm sure this is all over the country), so it's a good start. Wal-Mart hasn't reported first day sales, but it's expected to a lot. Other store have reported the CD sold in record amounts.
- If you missed the Wal-Mart broadcast of the Backstreet Boys performance (of if you just want to see it again), you can watch it (again) at Walmart.com. There are also interviews shown and some concert footage. Go check it out!
- Here's some cool news. Millennium has been making a comeback on the charts. Two weeks ago it was at #103 and now it's at #77, I think it was. Anyhow, that it really awesome. So not only is Black & Blue doing well, so is Millennium.
**Remember, everyone. The Boys worked hard to put together a great album for us. I think the best return gift we could give them is helping them break 'N Sync's record. Ask people if they've bought the album. If they haven't, tell them why they should. Carry a portable CD player with you so they could sample it or somthing. We Backstreet Fans know the Boys are the best vocal group anywhere. Let's show everyone else they are, too.**
- Hey, I hope you all are enjoying Black & Blue. There is one person who's been pretty vocal about his opinion. Lance of 'N Sync says that the sound is far too different from the Boys original sound and it's not as "fun" as he thought it would be. Well, Lance, you're opinion doesn't matter 'cause BSB fans all around the world have bought this album and LOVE IT!! Of course, you are criticizing the new album of the WORLD'S BEST-SELLING VOCAL GROUP!! (Not "Boy Band", VOCAL GROUP) It must suck to always be second.... (Sorry to those who like 'N Sync, but it's true)
- The 2001 World Tour will be starting on January 22nd, says AJ. The Boys start rehearsals for the tour in Los Angeles on December 1st, after they shoot the video for the second single, which will be "The Call".
- Don't forget to watch Access Hollywood tonight at 7:30pm on NBC. The Boys will be on it. Probably talking about the tour, the press conference yesterday, and all the other stuff that happened yesterday.
- The Boys are back home now, getting prepared to celebrate Thanksgiving with their families. Nick and AJ are celebrating together (awwww, cute). I'm sure their glad to be going home. I'll scouting for the Boys video location next week.....
- The Boys had a press conference today in New York City, which happened this morning. I didn't know anything about it 'til just now. But I saw part of it on Access Hollywood tonight. You could've seen it at the official site. Maybe they'll have it up on the site for a while. So go check it out and see if they do.
- Preliminary cities for the 2001 Tour were released today. The dates are to be released on November 27th. Tickets are expected to go on sale soon after that. The cities are listed in the Tour Dates.
- Black & Blue was released today!! I got to my Wal-Mart before it even opened this morning. I was the first one to buy it at my Wal-Mart. Then I meet some other fans and all stood around in the store for FOUR hours just talking about the Boys, the album, concert experiences, etc. So, I made a lot of new friends today. YAY!!
- Don't forget to watch the Early Show on CBS tomorrow morning. I missed today 'cause I was at Wal-Mart, but I wasn't too disappointed 'cause I had the new album!! Also, don't forget to watch "Backstreet Boys Over Broadway" on MTV @ 8:30pm tonight. I saw the Wal-Mart broadcast where I made more friends and I thought it was cool even though I wished it was longer.

- While the Boys were leaving the airport in Tokyo, Japan, some fans rushed forward to follow the bus they were in. About 10 fans got crushed by the crowd, so I urge all who are greeting the Boys in coming days to be careful and take care of each other.

- Be sure to watch Access Hollywood on NBC at 7:30pm (West Coast). The Boys will be on tonight!! Yay!!

- As you all probably watched, the Boys were on Total Request Live today. They talked about the new album, had a contest where two girls not only got early copies of Black & Blue, they get to meet the Boys Tuesday. Also, they showed the Boys acceptance speech after winning an award at the EMAs, as well as their performance. And to show all it pays to stand outside the TRL studios, some who stood out there in the cold got copies of Black & Blue also.

- Be sure to watch "MTV Presents The Best of the Backstreet Boys" tonight at 9:30pm. Set your VCRs!! It's bound to be entertaining.
- The nominees have been announced for the American Music Awards, hosted by Britney Spears (WHY?!?!). The Boys have been nominated for "Favorite Band/Duo or Group/Pop or Rock" along with 'N Sync and Creed. The ceremony takes place in Los Angeles, and if tradition holds at the Shrine Auditorium, at 8pm EST.
- The Boys performed at the Amigo Awards in Spain yesterday. And that's about all I know about that. They were expected to perform "Shape Of My Heart". Whether they did, I don't know.
- Now you can download the whole song of "Shape Of My Heart" at the Boys official website. Jive struck a deal with Amplified.com and "Shape Of My Heart" will be downloadable until the release of Black & Blue.
- "I Want It That Way" entered Rolling Stone's "Top 100 Pop Songs" at #10. Congratualations, Boys!! Although the Boys thought the song didn't make any sense at all, Jive convinced them to release it as the first single off Millennium. Jive knew what they were talking about because it's their biggest single so far.
- Z95.3 FM in Vancouver will be world premiering Black & Blue on Sunday, November 19th. So all Canadian Fans who get that station, be sure to tune in.
- The Backstreet Band has said it's final goodbyes on BSBBand.com. Now it's your chance to say goodbye to them as well by writing them a message at this address: www.petitiononline.com/bsbband. This is NOT a petition. The creators just thought it would be easier to hold this kind of thing at PetitionOnline.com.

- The Boys did an interview in Germany right before they went on "Wetten Dass....?" a couple days go. If you'd like to see the interview (it's pretty entertaining) CLICK HERE.
- And taken from the interview mentioned from above, Nick wants everyone to know HE'S SINGLE!! He mentioned in another intervew before that one that he was no longer with Mandy Williford (aka Willa Ford). He also took the liberty of mentioning Howie and AJ(??) are single also, saying that this has been the first time ALL THREE OF THEM have been single at the same time. Howie I know for sure is single, Nick says he is, but I'm almost positive AJ is still with his girlfriend, Amanda Latona.
- The Boys are going to be in Rio de Janeiro on Monday, November 20th. So all fans who are going to meet them are to dress in black and blue. It's not a requirement, but an idea to help recognize Backstreet Fans.
- BSBBand.com is saying goodbye. Since Tommy Smith is no longer a member of the band, and he was the one running the site, it's going to be shut down, as far as I can tell. I don't really know 'cause I tried to visit and I got "File Not Found". So, I don't know what's up.
- I've been listening to "The Call" and "Get Another Boyfriend" repeatedly ever since I've heard them. I absolutely love those songs. "Get Another Boyfriend" is going to rock should the Boys perform it during the tour. So will "The Call", that song is so different from any Backstreet Boys song out there. It's awesome. Just my thoughts.....
- Be sure to watch Total Request Live on Monday if you're a "Backstreet Boys Official Online Street Team" member (and even if you're not) because we're being featured on Monday. Some of the Street Team members were interviewed and will be shown on the 13th.

- An awesome, awesome 21st birthday for Nick is coming 'cause he and the guys are singing the "National Anthem" at the Super Bowl on January 28th. Since all the guys are huge football fans, they were honored to sign on and Nick is hoping the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will make it to the Super Bowl.
- An update about the BSB chat on November 15th. It is an MSN chat. So be there!!
- For those of you who didn't get to see the Backstreet Boys perform outside the CBS Early Show studios (like me), it will be airing on November 20th, so be sure to set your VCRs.
- Whether the same Backstreet Band is going to tour with the Boys this coming year or not is still in question. I'd love it if they did, but it's now the Boys decision to make. The Boys management has nothing to do with it. BSB Band member, Mindi Abair has said she hasn't been asked to do the tour and BSB Band member, Tommy Smith is no longer with the band. That's sucks 'cause I like Tommy. Anyway, the guys are going to have a bigger band, bigger stage, an all-around bigger tour. Can't wait to see it.
- Be sure to watch Total Request Live (whoa, deja vu) on Thursday. The Boys will be on that day via satellite from Sweden. And Carson said yesterday they're going to be performing. Oh by the way, Aaron was so cute yesterday on TRL.
- CDnow.com is having a 30% off sale on Backstreet Boys stuff released in the U.S. starting yesterday lasting to Monday. And you can go there to download "The Call" from Black & Blue for free.
**Sorry for no updates the past few days. I couldn't log on for a couple days. I don't know why, but it's fixed now. Thanks for understanding!! Angel**
- Hope everyone who attended the Backstreet Boys performance this morning had fun. The guys were great, I'm sure. I didn't see it, so I don't know.
- The Boys will be having a live chat on November 15th at 5pm ET/2pm PT while they're in Stockholm, Sweden to attend the MTV Europe Music Awards the next day. I believe it's an MSN chat, but I'm not sure, so I'll get back to you on that.
- Speaking for the EMAs, the Boys will be performing "Shape Of My Heart" so tune all you fans in Europe. As for the U.S. fans, as far as I know, the EMAs will be aired on November 20th.
- These following online retailers have their exclusive BSB downloads up as of today: SamGoody.com, CDnow.com, and MusicPlex.com. Since their not all the same, go check out each site.

- Attention all Backstreet Fans in Australia. Jive is holding a contest to find the two biggest Australian BSB fans. They've suggested you go about it this way: get a newspaper or local TV show or something to do a story on why you are the biggest BSB fan. Have a story written about you in the local paper. Make a "super" banner and hang it in the most public place you can think of, but won't get you arrested. Call up radio stations and talk about the Backstreet Boys. Basically, do anything (within the bounds of the law) to show Jive you're their biggest fan AND GET ON VIDEO TAPE!! They want documentation to show you really did it. Send all entries to PO Box KL701 Kings Langley NSW 2147 Australia. The two winners will be notified by November 17th.
- There's a petition going around that needs to be signed. Apparently, there was a contest held to decided the #1 spot on Friday's Total Request Live. Since I didn't watch it that day, I don't know what really happened. BUT from what I've been told, a group of BSB fans and a group of 'N Sync fans were chosen to answer some questions to see who knew the most about their group. The 'N Sync fans won, and a member of the BSB group showed some unbecoming conduct, to say the least. The petition is to let the MTV public know that while there are some BSB fans like that, the rest of us are not. So please sign it and let them know that we think the actions of this one person do NOT represent Backstreet Fans as a whole. CLICK HERE to sign the petition.

All ages are welcome, it's FREE, and while the Boys are scheduled to perform between 9:30am and 10am, you can go as early as you want. Everything starts getting set up at 5am and I suggest you all go early 'cause there's gonna be a big crowd. For those who can't make it, set you're VCRs 'cause the Early Show starts at 7am on CBS.
- The Backstreet Boys were awesome last night at the Radio Music Awards. I hope you all watched. It was so great seeing them again. Some friends and I attended and had a total blast. It was really cool. The guys were such great hosts. Oh and we saw JoJo and Valentine from 102.7 KIIS FM. Cute! The guys took home an award for "Most Requested Slow Dance Song" or something like that. I didn't even know they were nominated, but hey! It's all good.
- I keep forgetting to mention that according to AJ, the tour to support Black & Blue starts on January 23rd in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. No word yet on ticket sales.
- Calling all Backstreet Fans in the New York area and even beyond. The Boys are going to be on the Early Show on CBS, November 7th. They're doing a performance of the new single and other songs. The special taping is at 9:30am. Catch the show on TV at 7am.

- On November 20th, the Boys will broadcasting a live performance in 2,000 Wal-Marts across the country to celebrate the release of the new album Black & Blue. Also, so international fans won't be left out, the performance can be seen at www.wal-mart.com. Be sure to catch it.
- 7 of the 15 track on Black & Blue have been written/co-written by the Boys. All five wrote "Answer To Our Life" and "Time". Howie co-wrote "What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful)", and "How Did I Fall In Love With You". Nick co-wrote "Shining Star". Kevin co-wrote "It's True", and AJ co-wrote "Yes, I Will".
- Australia fans, listen up. To celebrate Black & Blue an attempt to break the world's largest hug record is going down in Sydney on November 11th. To be a part of it, go to the Fox Studios (wearing black and blue for obvious reasons) from 11am to 12pm and register. It's important to register or else it won't be recognized as a world record. The attempt will take place at 12:45pm. 500 or more people are needed to break the previous record, so go down there and show you're support.
- On November 20th, the Backstreet Boys will be on the Rosie O'Donnell show. Check your local listings for times and channels. For the West Coast, it's 3pm on NBC. So set you're VCR's 'cause it's nothing but a Backstreet hour. Also, don't forget to watch the Radio Music Awards tomorrow night at 8pm EST/PST taking place at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas, for our Boys will be hosting along with Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath.
