Welcome to my memorial to Jenny Calendar

Why don't you stop and listen to a tale of duty, tradegy, and love...

Ms. Jenny Calendar was born Janna to a tribe called the Calderash people, that swore vengence to Angel/Angelus. As Ms. Calendar grew, she was taught that vengence and was soon sent out to watch Angel and make sure he suffered. Little did she know that she was to fall in love with the slayer's watcher, Rupert Giles. They became inseperable and she also began to help Buffy with her trials as the slayer. Not soon after this, her uncle Enyos visited, telling her that she had come to perform a duty and she was not fulfilling her promise to her people. So Jenny began to keep Buffy and Angel, who had fallen desperately in love themselves, apart to keep Angel from having any true happiness. Well, nothing could keep their love apart and soon Buffy and Angel slept together and Angel turned back into Angelus. Buffy found out that Ms. Calendar had known that one moment of happiness would turn him back. After this was made known to Giles, he and Jenny's relationship took an abrupt turn. Jenny felt terrible guilt and tried to do everything in her power to make everything right between her, Giles, and Buffy. Eventually Giles talked to her and she told him how duty was all she had ever been taught, long before meeting him and how she never knew she would fall in love with him. Buffy came up to Jenny and told her that even though she didn't forgive her, she didn't want Gile's to be alone because he missed her and they loved each other. Giles told Jenny that she didn't have to make it up to him. She had to make it up to Buffy. So that was what she decided to do. Using her computer to decode the translation to get Angel's soul back, she decided to make it up to Buffy by giving her Angel back, soul and all. While she was performing this ritual, Angelus was watching her and he couldn't bear the thought of having his soul back, so he killed her. He then took her to Giles' apartment and laid her on the bed. He strewn roses all over the stairway, put champaine downstairs, and a put a note with the champaine that would lead Giles' straight into the heartbreak of seeing his beloved Jenny lying on his bed with her neck twisted at a beyond normal angle. Jenny had wanted so much to make it up to Buffy and Giles'. She died on the verge of doing so. May she forever rest in peace.
