THESE ARE THE WARNING SIGNS OF OBSESSIVE/COMPULSIVE EARRING DISORDER (EARRINGAHOLECISM)
Be honest with yourself, could this be
you?
1. I own more than 20 pairs of earrings, possibly more because I hide them from myself and lose count.
2. I f I lose one earring I never throw the other one away and I use it as an excuse to buy another pair..sometimes two pairs, just in case I lose another one.
3. My friends don't look at my face, they look at my ears before they even say hello, knowing I'll probably have on a new pair of earrings each time they see me. Many of them don't know what I look like, but they do recognize my earrings.
4. Jewelry store owners refer to me as an "earring Person." They put on a big grin when they see me because they know I won't leave without buying something.
5. I have at least one spare pair of earrings in my purse and another one in the car just in case I forget to put some on one day.
6. I feel naked and if I don't have on earrings.
7. I get excited when I see earrings on sale. In some stores the clerks in the jewelry department know me by name.
8. I have a jewelry armoire and several other special places to keep my earrings safe and lined up all nice and neat.
If you answer yes to five or more of these statements, you are probably an earringaholec, suffering from obsessive/compulsive earring disorder.
