Til Death Do They Part...

When Luke Spencer and Laura Webber Baldwin were married in 1981, I was only four years old. But even I know (through my years as a fan) that the event was a television phenomenon. Merely four months prior to that, Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer were married, but it was Luke and Laura who had more people watch their wedding. Go figure.

Anyway, the way I look at it, even if they're separated now (WAAAAHHH!), the wedding vows of L&L should be included on this website.

It makes perfect sense to me.

So if you missed it (heaven forbid...unless you were a young child and just didn't care) or if you just want to have the vows for your own personal L&L scrapbook...here they are.

LUKE: I, Lucas Lorenzo Spencer, take thee, Laura Webber Baldwin, to be my lawful wedded wife. To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse; for richer, for poorer; in sickness and in health; to love and to cherish til death us do part and thereto and unto thee, I pledge my troth.

LAURA: I, Laura Webber Baldwin, take thee, Lucas Lorenzo Spencer, to be my lawful wedded husband. To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse; for richer, for pooer; in sickness and in health; to love and to cherish til death us do part and thereto and unto thee, I pledge my troth.

Okay, so my question is....What he heck happened???

The supercouple of Daytime television has been torn apart by the past. Since when can that happen?

Maybe I'm a little bit delusional, but I thought they'd be together...uh...forever!

D'Oh...!

Luke was too jealous of Nikolas, and should have been more understanding and sympathetic towards Laura's need to be part of her son's life.

Laura should have kicked Stefan to the curb ages ago, ignoring the fact that he is Nikolas's father.

And SOMEONE should have killed Helena long before now too...Nikolas maybe?

Wasn't Faison supposed to be dead...? If Luke and Felicia don't get rid of him for good, and if they don't bring Lucky back...argh...!

Anyway, that's just what I think. Don't mind me. I'm kind of biased.

Long Live The Spencers!
