(Dinella is running through a forest, being chased by some warriors on horseback)
Demon: The master wants you! Now!
(Suddenly, Tetsu flips into the scene)
Demon: What’s this? An intruder! Be gone!
(Tetsu fights the demons, then Tetsu and Dinella go running)
Demon: After them! Don’t let them get away! Get the girl!
(They ride after them)
Demon: Prepare to (can’t make out what he says here)
(They come to a clearing; Tetsu and Dinella are nowhere to be found)
Demon: Search everywhere! They’re somewhere nearby! She can’t escape us! It’s useless to try!
(They go riding off)
(Tetsu and Dinella are covered in leaves, and they get up as soon as the demons are gone; they begin to walk back to the village)
Tetsu: All right. We’ve lost them. Are you all right? I am Tetsu.
Dinella: I’m Dinella. Thank you, thank you.
Tetsu: You’re welcome. You’ll be fine now.
Dinella: No. No, no, they’ll be back. They’ll find me. No man can stop the seven demons.
(Tetsu’s bracelet flashes)
Tetsu: Unless that man has a friend.
(They walk back to the village)
(Back at the village, Sinbad is fighting some men)
Man: Allow me to teach you a thing or two!
Sinbad: Only if I can stand up during the lesson.
(They continue fighting)
Sinbad: Come on.
Doubar: (from down below) We came to shore to relax. Hey, Rongar!
(They’re all fighting)
Sinbad: No. No. No. Up here. Come on, you can do better than that! Come on.
(They continue fighting)
Man: I’ll cut you in two!
Sinbad: So you keep saying.
(They continue fighting)
(Firouz hands Bryn a piece of grapefruit)
Bryn: Oh, thank you.
Firouz: Don’t mention it.
Bryn: Any idea how this started?
Firouz: Ah, not really. They carried this behaviour a long time. (puts grapefruit on a man’s head)
(Meanwhile, while Sinbad is fighting, his bracelet flashes)
Sinbad: (holding onto a man’s head) Enough fun. I’ve gotta go.
Man: I’ll kill you!
(They fight, but Sinbad finishes it)
Sinbad: Everyone! Grab your things. We’re setting sail.
(A man comes up behind Sinbad)
Doubar: Sinbad!
(The last man is defeated)
Firouz: Where are we headed?
Sinbad: Wherever fate takes us. (points to bracelet)>[? (Opening Credits)
(Tetsu and Dinella are walking and talking)
Tetsu: Is your village much further?
Dinella: Just up ahead.
Tetsu: You, ah, must have been very afraid to run all this way.
Dinella: For my life. But it had all been foretold by someone like you.
Tetsu: A foreigner.
Dinella: Yes. He had a sword like you, but wore a robe. He was a holy man.
Tetsu: (can’t make out what he says here) Warrior monk. Is he still in your village?
Dinella: No. He warned us of the demons, and their master, and then he died.
(Tetsu and Dinella arrive at the village)
Tetsu: Your people don’t seem to be very happy to see you.
Dinella: Maybe they think I’m a ghost.
Tetsu: People! I have returned your Dinella to you!
Man: You’ve upset the balance, that’s what you’ve done! Now the whole village is doomed!
Tetsu: I have given my word to keep Dinella safe! And my word is the word of a Samurai!
Man: Your word means nothing here! One man with a fancy sword can’t stop the seven demons!
Sinbad: Maybe not. But a village united might.
(Tetsu turns)
Sinbad: Didn’t I give you a boat the last time we met?
Tetsu: I gave it to a family who needed it more!
(Sinbad and Tetsu hug)
Sinbad: It’s good to see you!
Tetsu: And how are you, Sinbad? Somehow I felt that you were going to arrive here.
Sinbad: Well, we share a common destiny.
Tetsu: Doubar! Brother!
(Doubar laughs and hugs Tetsu)
Tetsu: Rongar. Peace be with you. Firouz! (hugs Firouz) Man of many minds! (comes to Bryn)
Sinbad: This is Bryn. She shares our taste in jewelry.
(Tetsu and Bryn clasp hands)
Tetsu: Welcome.
Bryn: Thanks.
Tetsu: The redheaded giantess who was with you.
Sinbad: She’s safe…under Master Dim-Dim’s protection.
Tetsu: Oh.
Adere: Dinella! Dinella!
Dinella: Father!
(Dinella and her father hug)
Dinella: Father, this is Tetsu. He saved me from the demons.
Adere: You performed a miracle, Tetsu. A miracle! But I fear you have also signed your own death warrant.
(The scene is of a fortress somewhere else)
Compara: No one denies me my jewel. No one! I want that woman, now!
(The crew, Tetsu, Dinella, and her Father are talking inside a house)
Adere: Seven years ago, a stranger appeared in our village. A monk named Araqi. We gave him shelter. He said he was here on a mission.
Tetsu: To protect you.
Adere: Yes.
Sinbad: What happened to him?
Adere: He was murdered by the Lord of the Demons, Compara.
Tetsu: Compara.
Sinbad: You know of him?
Tetsu: A most horrible entity.
Sinbad: Then these demons.
Tetsu: In my country, they are called ikusuki nokami. The seven demons of the underworld. Compara summons their spirits and sends them into the bodies of the seven strongest warriors he can find. After that, they do his bidding.
Sinbad: So, they’re human.
Tetsu: They’re human in form, but alive with the evil of Compara.
Adere: Compara’s taken over a temple on Lookout Mountain. No one dares go near there.
Tetsu: He was driven out of my country by the warrior monks. He seeks new, fertile ground to plant the seeds of his evil. Have women been abducted from your village?
Adere: Every year, he demands a village woman as his servant.
Bryn: And you hand them over?
Adere: We’re a nice-laid village. Compara’s demons could wipe us out in a heartbeat. We hold a lottery to see who will go.
Dinella: This year, my ballad was drawn.
Sinbad: But you had other plans.
Adere: I told her to flee for her life.
Sinbad: The other women. What happened to them?
Adere: Oh, no one’s returned from the temple. This is the first time anyone has escaped from the demons…thanks to Tetsu.
(The demons return, and wreak havoc upon the village)
Men: (from outside) The demons are coming! No!
(The crew go outside to fight the demons)
Sinbad: Keep Dinella inside!
(They fight the demons)
Sinbad: Tetsu! Come on!
(Tetsu follows Sinbad)
(A demon comes into the house)
Doubar: By my soul!
Bryn: They’re after Dinella!
(They try to fight the demons off)
Bryn: Doubar!
(A demon tries to take Dinella)
Adere: They’re taking my Dinella!
(A demon takes Dinella)
Firouz: Too late! They got her!
(The other demons leave)
Adere: Dinella! Dinella!
Tetsu: Dinella!
Sinbad: Tetsu! Wait!
Tetsu: Dinella! After them!
Firouz: Doubar!
(Bryn collapses, and Sinbad’s bracelet flashes)
Sinbad: (whispers) Bryn! (turns and runs to Bryn)
Sinbad: What happened?
Firouz: She just dropped.
Sinbad: Any change?
Firouz: She’s burning up. I can’t find the cause.
Tetsu: She’s in contact with very powerful spirits.
Doubar: You mean she’s been possessed by one of those things?
Tetsu: No. She’s a meekle. A medium. She has magic, and its part of her. The power flows through her like our blood flows through our hearts.
Sinbad: Tetsu?
(Bryn wakes up)
Bryn: (with the voice of Araqi) The girl is well. Do not be alarmed.
Sinbad: Who are you?
Bryn: I am Araqi. (can’t make out what he says here) All of you heed my words. Unless Compara is stopped, he will spread his demonic breed through the village.
Sinbad: How?
Bryn: The women are the key.
Sinbad: How can we stop him?
Bryn: I brought weapons. I hid them before he killed me. You must find them, use them, to combat the seven. There can only be two…brothers.
Doubar: Sinbad, it would be my pleasure to—
Bryn: These brothers must be joined by more than blood.
(Sinbad’s and Tetsu’s bracelets flash)
Bryn: A sailor. A samurai.
Sinbad: We’ll avenge your death, Araqi.
Bryn: Find the weapons. Look for the enchanted stone. Enchantment will lead you there.
Sinbad: I don’t understand.
Bryn: Beware. Seven demons rode into this place. Only six rode out. Beware.
(Araqi leaves Bryn’s body, and Bryn collapses)
Sinbad: Are you all right?
Bryn: I think so.
Sinbad: I believe we have an appointment at the temple.
Tetsu: I know the way.
Sinbad: The monk’s weapons?
Tetsu: He’ll give us a sign.
(Sinbad and Tetsu leave)
