Fiona is not currently on tour since she is in the studio recording her
sophomore album.
The Latest News
-Fiona is featured in the "Mad As They Wanna Be" section of the January
1999 issue of Twist magazine. The photo included in the section can be
found in the "Heavy With Mood": Color Gallery.
-The video for Criminal appeared at #7 on the Barenaked Ladies' "Barenaked
Countdown" on MTV.
-Poster artist Bob Masse is designing a new "Women In Rock" poster for
charity. The poster will feature influential women artists such as
Fiona, Stevie Nicks, Tori Amos, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell and Ani
DiFranco. It should be available for purchase by Christmas and you can

-Fiona is featured in a small section of the new Celebrity Style.
-Fiona and Paul Thomas Anderson have bought Jason Priestley's former home
for $1.9 million recently!
-A single for "Across The Universe" may be released and will most likely
include the album version and the radio edit. No word yet on a release
date but the Pleasantville soundtrack is now available!
-The new video for Fiona's version of the Beatles' "Across The Universe"
is now being played on MTV! The black and white video was directed by
Fiona's boyfriend, Paul Thomas Anderson of Boogie Nights fame, and
features many shots of Fiona wearing headphones and singing in a restaurant
while a riot breaks out behind her. A Quicktime video and Real Audio
file of "Across The Universe" can be found in the multimedia section
of "Heavy With Mood" and stills from the video (courtesy of Fiona Has
Wings) can be found in the gallery section.
-Whip out your earplugs! Fiona's collaborating with Foxy Brown on a
song for Foxy's upcoming album. Looks like I won't be investing in
that one...
-Fiona didn't go away empty handed at the MTV Video Music Awards on
September 10th! She won for Best Cinematography for Criminal, but she
lost Best Female Video to Madonna's Ray Of Light.
-Pleasantville Soundtrack: now available! The soundtrack includes two
Fiona tracks:
1. a cover of the Beatles' "Across The Universe"
2. a cover of Percy Mayfield's "Please Send Me Someone To Love"
-The official sheet music book for Tidal is now available. It includes
music for piano, guitar and vocals.
-Rapper, Kool Keith, is looking to get Fiona to do a song with him for
his upcoming album, slated for an October release. If Fiona agrees, the
track will be called "Children Of The Corn".
-Quotes from Fiona and her boyfriend Paul Thomas Anderson can be found
on a limited edition Boogie Nights DVD.
-In the music issue of Harper's Bazaar, Fiona states that she may be
changing the title of her second album from Corrupt to Okerupt. She explains
that you can read it as "Okay, erupt" as if she's going to erupt on this
album or you can read it as "Oh, corrupt". Title tracks very likely will
be "Limp", "Paper Bag", "Fast As You Can", "On The Band" and "Love Ridden".
