This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 1st day of November, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3338], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the article in Coronet.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: She should stay still!

3. Yes, here we have a condition that is hard to combat; the lacking in chemical processes of the body glandular forces, that causes the pigment in the outer skin or epidermis to have varied colors - or white splotches, that even at times become a bit scaly if not kept attended to with certain ointments.

4. These as we find may be aided, but it will require long periods and systematic activities, not only in the diet, but also in the general habits of the body.

5. For, it is a glandular disturbance and deals with the abilities of the body to produce reproduction of cellular force in the skin, or the superficial circulation.

6. These as we find, of course, are indications that there are also spots upon the liver.

7. To clarify same, we would begin with these:

8. Begin taking each day one drop of Atomidine in half a glass of water before the morning meal. Do this each day for three weeks.

9. Then leave off for a week, and during that week take internally this combination - which will not be pleasant to taste, but effective if taken or prepared properly: Put one half ounce of Ambrosia Weed [Ragweed] in half a pint of water. Boil this until there is half of the quantity left. Use only enamel or glassware, not metal, aluminum or the like. Add to this, then, one half ounce of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin and a quarter ounce of grain alcohol.

10. The dose of this will be a teaspoonful once each day. This should make for the activity of the liver, and act much as a powerful cathartic, but after at least three doses, do have a full, high colonic irrigation to cleanse the colon clear. It may be necessary for two colonics within two weeks.

11. But take the whole quantity of the properties suggested. Then rest from all of these for a week. Then repeat the whole procedure.

12. Throughout the period, do have at least once a week a thorough massage over the whole body with an equal combination of Peanut Oil, Olive Oil and Sweet Oil - or Camphorated Oil. This will have a drying effect in the beginning and then - in the course of three to six months - we will gradually see changes for the better.

13. In the matter of the diet, be precautious. Do not have combinations where there are great quantities of sweets. No great quantity of starches should be taken, as any of those properties prepared principally with corn starch or corn products. Refrain from all of these. Have plenty of raw vegetables, plenty of such as beets especially, carrots, spinach. Take these raw. Prepare these often with gelatin. Also watercress should be included. Vary these not all at once but have all of these in the diet at various times, so as not to become obnoxious. But some of these should be taken every day. Use all leafy vegetables rather than those of the tuberous or bulbous nature. Have sea foods rather than fresh water fish, Fowl may be taken also. Little or no meats of other characters, though occasionally lamb. Never any fried foods.

16. (Q) What was the beginning or the original cause of this condition?
(A) Just as indicated, a lacking of certain chemicals in the body. First we will have to purify the glands, as indicated, by the various periods when these courses of treatment are to be repeated. It may require five to six to twelve months, maybe longer, but be persistent. First purify the glands then take the properties indicated in the diet (which is the preferable manner to obtain same) and we will grow an epidermis that will be clear and clean.
