"My dog is 10 years old. She had severe colitis. After several trips to the vet - which included a 3 day stay - she was still out of control. Her stools were black from internal bleeding and it looked like we were going to lose her.
"I put her into a castor oil pack and laid her on an old blanket at the end of the bed. In the morning when I took her out she had the first normal stool she'd had in a week.
"I continued the packs and taught my vet how to apply them. Topaz [the dog] is alive and well.
