Ostara

Place flowers on the altar and around the worship area. Fill the cauldron with spring water. Place a small potted plant on the altar.

Prepare the altar and worship area, then light the candles and incense. Cast the circle and Invoke the Deities and Spirits of the Elements.

Stand before the altar looking at the plant and say something similar to:

My Lady, as you arise from winters slumber,
You now begin the renewing of Life on the Earth,
As my Lord joyfully awaits the coming of summer,
I celebrate thee, my Lord and Lady.

Touch the plant with your receptive hand (the hand you don't write with) and allow it's energies to connect with you. Commune with the plant and allow yourself to look into the force of life within the plant.

When you are ready and still touching the plant say:

Through this plant let me find, A love for all living things, Let me walk in peace with all nature, Teach me respect for Your creation, By your power and wisdom.

Let yourself feel the energies of the Earth as it awakens to spring. Meditate on the Earth and seasons.

Now you can perform magick or divination. Celebrate the Simple Feast and release the circle.

You're ritual is complete.

Beltane

This is best celebrated outdoors near a living tree but you can use a potted tree indoors within the circle. Prior to the Sabbat, you should make tokens or charms to be hung on the tree in honor of the God and Goddess' sacred marriage. They can be anything like sachets of flowers, beads, crystals, garlands, or any thing else you can create.

Setup the worship area and altar. Light the candles and incense. Cast the circle and invoke the Goddess and God.

With the wand raised, say something like the following:

My Lady of the Night, My Lord of the Harvest, I bring you this gift, In celebration of your blessed union.

Place your gift or gifts on the tree, then say:

As your sacred union, creates life upon the Earth, I celebrate with you in Love, Blessed be my Lord and Lady.

You may now practice divination or magick. Enjoy the Simple Feast and release the circle.

Your celebration is complete.

Litha

You need to make a pouch of herbs such as chamomile, lavender, vervain, or any other appropriate herb. As you make the pouch allow all of your troubles and pains go into it. Close it with a red string. Lay it on the altar. You will also need the red candle and the cauldron on the altar for this ritual.

Arrange your sacred space and altar. Light the candles and incense. Cast the circle and invoke the Deities.

With wand raised before the altar, say:

As the energies of the Earth flow around me,
I celebrate the warmth of summer,
Let my troubles and cares,
be burned away,
O, Lord of the Sun,
Cleanse me,
Cleanse me,
Cleanse me.

Place the wand on the altar, take your herbal pouch and light it in the flame of the red candle. When it is burning good, drop it into the cauldron.

Then say:

Troubles be gone by the power of my Lord and Lady!
Troubles be gone by the power of the Sun, Moon, and Stars!
Troubles be gone by the power of the Elememts!

Stop and feel the troubles of life burn away until they are gone.

My Lord, My Lady, Fill me with the energies, Of this wondrous night of magick. I give thee thanks, O Great Ones!

Meditate on the cleansing and feel the divine energies that flow around you.

Perform divination or magick. Celebrate the Simple Feast and release the circle.

It is done!

Lughnasadh

Have some kind of grain sheaves and fruits, bread, or any harvest kind on thing on the altar.

Setup the altar and worship space. Light the candles and incense. Cast the circle and invoke the Deities.

Hold up some of the grain, standing in front of the altar and say something like:

At this time of the First Harvest,
Let me understand the sacrifices of life,
That which allows us to continue,
Bring me understanding of rebirth,
As the Sun fades to the coldness of night.

Let some of the grains from the sheaves fall on the altar and take a bite of some of the fruit or other harvest food and say:

As I eat of the fruits of the First Harvest,
I give thee thanks, My Lord and My Lady.
Fill me with its energies,
That I may continue to gain insight into Your mysteries.

Eat the rest of the fruit or other harvest food that you had used for this.

Practice works of magick or divination. Celebrate the Simple Feast and release the Circle.

Your ritual is complete.

Mabon

You need to have nuts, fruits, acorns, pine cones, or any other fall type of thing. Also a basket filled with fall leaves.

Arrange the worship area, light candles and incense, and cast the Circle. Call upon the Deities.

Hold the basket of leaves up in front of the altar and scatter them within the Circle. As you do this say something like:

As the leaves fall to the ground,
I give honor to You, O Sun God,
As you jouney into the land of eternal night,
The coldness of winter draws nearer,
But we know that there is not life without death.
Blessings to You my Lord.

Put the basket back down and say:

My Lady of wisdom,
Show me how to plant seeds of love,
That I may reap the fruits thereof,
Share Your wisdom with me,
That I may live wisely in this life.
O my Lady of Love and Light.

You can now perform divination or magick. Perform the Simple Feast and release the Circle.

It is completed.

Samhain

You need pomegranates, apples, and other late fall fruits. You also need to write down on a piece of paper some bad thing in your life that you want to be free of. Also, the cauldron or other heat-proof container and a flat dish with an 8 spoked wheel drawn or painted on it.

Before you begin this ritual, sit and meditate on people you have been close to that have died. Think of them in a positive way and remember the things that you liked most about them.

Fix the altar and your worship space. Light your candles and incense. Cast the Circle and invoke the Deities.

Take one of the pomegranates and cut it open with your boline. Take out some of the seeds and put them on the Eight-Spoked Wheel dish. With your wand raised towards the altar, say something like:

On this night of Samhain,
I give honor to My Lord,
I give honor to those who have passed from this life,
Mother Goddess give me comfort,
Show me that death is only the beginning of new life.

As you eat some of the pomegranate seeds, look at the Eight-Spoked Wheel. Think about the Circle of Life.

Light a fire in the cauldron or use a candle in it. Hold the piece of paper and look into the fire and say:

My Lady of the Moon,
I light this fire,
To change the negative in my life,
Change that which is bad into good.

Now light the paper in the fire and drop it into the cauldron and let it burn. Visualize the trouble burning away until it is gone.

Now is a good time for divination or magick. Release your pains for those who have passed on but do not call upon them. Leave the dead in peace. This is also a good time to try to look into past lives. Perform any magick that is necessary at this time.

Perform the Simple Feast and release the Circle.

The ritual is finished.

Yule

Decorate the altar with pine and evergreens. You will need the cauldron filled with a burnable substance or put the red candle in it.

Setup the altar and worship area. Light the candles and incense. Cast the Circle and invoke the Deities.

Look into the cauldron and say something like:

Though the Earth is wrapped in winter's sleep,
Though the snow and wind blows,
I will celebrate with joy.

Light the cauldron or red candle in the cauldron and say:

To honor thee O Mother Goddess,
To welcome the returning God of the Sun,
I light this fire.

Walking slowly, clockwise around the altar looking at the fire, repeat this chant:

The wheel turns; the power burns.

When you have finished this, stop and meditate on the hidden potential within us and every living thing.

Then stand before the altar and say:

I give honor to thee My Lord of the Sun,
From darkness you have been reborn,
Blessings to you My Lord,
I welcome thee!

Practice magick or divination now. Perform the Simple Feast and release the Circle.

It is completed.
