Hey look..... that was JUST my first impression listening to one of her song from the first album
when it was aired in the radio.
But never the same today. After attending a dinner show in Kuala Lumpur, I saw her live performance. Wow!! Awesome!! She has a lovely voice, charming and lively. Some people say how much she reminded them that her voice is like Mariah Carey. But I don't quite agree to those gang. To me... personally, she owned a different trademark or style where a style that I may say similar to some of the great afro-american soul singers. I think the only one for now in Malaysia.
Know something?! Her vocals are very clear and loud like some commented as "Crystal Clear". When performing some catchy and foot stomping tracks... she did it with ease and deliver ballad tracks
perfectly.

Somtimes ago, Ning involved in the making of an album, "A Musical Salute To Disney", as an honour together with another Malaysian singer, Ziana Zain. The album was made up of songs taken from Walt Disney's animated films namely, Pocahontas, Aladdin, Mickey Unrapped, Marry Poppins, The Little Mermaid and also The Lion King. The album was produced by BMG Music Malaysia in cooperation with The Walt Disney Co.

Was produced by Mark J. Feist. This is a Malay album and features 11 Malays plus 1 English song. The main focus in this album is on dance R&B and soul ballads which more suits her voice and singing style.
"ALWAYS" was released on 22 December 1997. The album took about 2 years to complete. ALWAYS remains it's beat of R&B to Pop Ballad and also combined with producers from the US - Mark J Fiest dan three local producers, LY, Hari Krish Menon and Ramli MS.
Mark J Fiest also responsible before with sound system of album Ning, Teguh, and also included six of songs which are 'Just Believe', 'Just Wanna Get Close To You', 'Angle Of My Heart', 'Baby Please', 'You & I' and 'Don't Matter To Me'.
'Just Believe' is the English version of 'Percaya' song whereas 'Just Wanna Get Close To You', vhich is the english version of 'Getaran Cinta' song and 'You & I' is being remade for remix.
In the meantime, Hari Krish Menon that was responsible for Ning's appereance through 'Ke Sayup Bintang' album, had arranged two old songs that was popular in the 80's that is 'Human' (Kimmy Jam & Terry Lewis) and 'Always' (Peebles). Ramli MS had arranged again 'Colors Of The Wind' song from the animation Disney Classic that was sung by Vanessa William in the compilation album 'A Musical Salute To Disney'.
LY which popularity was about to increased tremendously through his composed songnya 'Sedalam Mana Cintamu', sung by Safura. He also contributed 'You Promised, But You Lied' song which was his first english-composed-song.
ALWAYS is indeed a fine piece of work and the reviews she has received confirm this. Radio DJs have not only been playing her first single, human, but have slated it on their power rotation list. Radio Station MIX FM 94.5 even voted her as artiste of the month.
An MTV source, says Ning, even went as far as to say, "we are going to play the human over and over again until people get tired of it, that's a good sign".
