I do not have a lot of steigth or endourance, so I like to pick/conserve my shots. This means a defencive stratagy. An important part of this stratagy is that no mater how good your defence is, you can NOT win without attacking.
The timing of your attacks is very important for offencive and defenceive reasons. An attack mistimed could leasve you vulnerable to a counter attack from your opponent and will at best be ineffective against your oponent. A well timed attack will allow you to take best advantage of your opponents oppenings, will help keep your oponent defencive, and will force him to play "catch up" to your actions. The best time to be striking your opponent is while he is in a transiton of stratagy. e.g. in a transition from a defencive posture to offensive. To do this, you must be in an offensive posture. Ready to throw your shot, with your shot(s) and target(s) in mind. You must look for, and be able to recognise the initiation and progress of the transition in your opponent.... more to come....
