Q: Is Creed a Christian band?
A: "Are we a Christian band? This is a question we are asked a lot because of some of the references made in the lyrics. No, we are not a Christian band."-Scott Stapp

Q: Are the members of Creed Christian?
A: "This is a very personal question because the whole foundation of being a Christian is a personal relationship. I can say that all the members believe in God, but we each differ on our methods to reach him. We are all still learning and growing, and God can only answer this question, because who are wer to say that being Christian is the only way to heaven. I know this might be hard to understand for all the Christians who follow the band--and trust me, I know where you are coming from-- but let us continue to seek, and continue to knock, the doors will be opened."--Scott Stapp

Q: What aws the inspiration behind the song "My Own Prison"?
A: "I wrote this song at the time in my life when i realized that I could not continue to blame others for why I was in the situations I had placed myself in. I was blaming my parents, GOd, and anyone I could find, when really the only blame rested with me. Hence the phrase, "I've created my own prison" Realizing this helped me move forward in my life and make better decisions, knowing that if I was going to get better, it was me and only me that could make a change."--Scott Stapp

Q: Which members write the songs?
A: All of Creed's lyrics and music anre written by Scott Stapp and Mark Tremonti

Q: Are there any Creed songs that aren't no My Own Prison or Human Clay?
A: The Dead Man on Campus soundtrack spawned a track called "Bound & Tied" which has been performed live. There's an accoustic version of "My Own Prison" that has been performed for several radio stations and is available for free download on Creednet. Creed has also contributed a cover of Alice Cooper's "I'm Eighteen" to the soundtrack of The Faculty. A cover of "Riders On The Storm" by the Doors will apear on a Doors tribute album in 2000. "Young Grow Old" appears on the Human Clay European/Japan release and "To Whom It May Concern" is included on the "Higher" single (European release). An alternate version of "With Arms Wide Open" is soon to be released on radio.

A: Creed has several songs in the works for the next album, but no release date is set. Tentatively, the band is planning a home video release for December 2000.

Q: Who is that on the front of the "My Own Prison" CD?

A: "This is a friend of ours from college names Justin. Mark's Brother Dan tok this picture for a film class, and we liked it so much we decided to put it on the cover. We though it captured the feel of the album."--Scott Stapp

A: "We listen to a variety of music, Led Zeppelin, Doors, Tool, Metallica, Slayer, Lynrd Skynyrd, Eagles, Garth Brooks, Tea Party, U2, Otis, Redding, Bad Company, Beatles etc... I could go on forever..."--Scott Stapp

Q: Why was the record changed from the Blue Collar release to the Wind-up release?
A: "Blue Collar Records was a label that teh band created befor they signed with a major record company. We wanted to put the record out ourselves, but quickly realized that we had neither the funds nor the know-how to, nor the man power to put out a record nationally. Signing with Wind-up was the best decision this band ever made, had we not dones that, none of you would ever have hear of Creed."--Scott Stapp
