Mark moved from Detriot to Florida when he was 15 years old. He attended the same high school as Scott Stapp, but at the time they weren't friends. While in school he worked at Chili's, as restaurant in Tallahassee. He studied for a degree in finance at Florida State University. He also attended Clemson University in Carolina. In high school in played on the soccer team. He wrote Torn and "What's this life for" and some of the lyrics to "My Own Prison". "Unforgiven" is his fave song to play live... and he is also addicted to video games.
