I dimmed the lights for fear I'd see
Such loveliness and find it real Let my eyes wander on this shape So like my hands, they longed to feel But dark was not enough it seems My other senses came to play Her voice was that of twilight sleep Her scent was of an autumn day I placed my lips upon her own Then drew her close to take all in And drank of her, my thirst so great Intoxicated with our sin So fragile within arms so strong So delicate and supple warm I listened closely as she breathed Allowed my hands to trace her form In earnest did moist lips I taste And with my fingers, combed her hair So like the night, with my eyes closed This dream I held while standing there Forbidden was our touch to be So foolish was this long embrace We left with blush still in our cheeks I still remember her sweet face The years now cloud some memories But this one's never trapped in haze I still can smell her autumn scent And feel her eyes upon me gaze |
