Caregiver Fitness

If you are a home health caregiver,you probably do a lot to enhance the health and well being of the person you provide care for. Just remember to take good care of yourself as well. For instance,schedule frequent breaks and changes in your routine.Take time for prayer.God wants you healthy-spiritually,mentally physically. Speaking of the physical-sprains,strains aches and pains, Injuries from heavy lifting can often be prevented and or treated with proper physical excercise. True,your bedroom may begin to take on the appearance of a mideival torture chamber- but having a stationary bike,treadmill or other fitness equipment handy-and using it-will greatly reduce your stress and increase your flexibility. Ofcourse walking is also an important and pleasant way to get fit.Have a friend or two join you sometimes. Just start out slowly,say with 10 minutes of daily exercise and gradually increase the time to 40 minutes a day. Remember to check with your doctor if you are out of shape or new to exercise.
