Chapter 48
Beth went and hid up the willow tree. She was positive Taylor wouldn't
find her. She heard him say that he was coming, so she stayed extra
quiet. Taylor was looking around and saw Beth sitting with her back to
him on the branch of the willow tree. He quietly climbed the tree and
snuck up behind her. Taylor but his hand over Beth's mouth so she
wouldn't scream. She turned around quickly with her eyes open wide. As
soon as she recognized Taylor, she relaxed. He uncovered her mouth.
"What did you do that for? You scared the living daylights out of me.
I could have fallen out of the tree! Didn't you learn last time that
you shouldn't do that to me?" Beth said quietly. "Sorry," Taylor
whispered back. "That's ok, just don't do that EVER again!" "Ok,"
Taylor replied. "Aren't you going to look for anyone else?" Beth
asked. "No," Taylor responded. "Why not?" "Because, I just wanted to
find you." "Why would you want to find me?" Beth asked curiously. "I
don't know. Maybe so I could do this," Taylor said as he gently tilted
Beth's head and kissed her. They stared at each other for a while.
Then Taylor said, "I've been wanting to do that since last time, but I
was waiting for the right time." Beth was speechless, then managed to
say, "You're lucky we're in the dark, because you're probably
blushing. In fact, I'm pretty sure I am too." "Yeah, I suppose that is
a good thing."
