Chapter 59

At 4:00 in the morning, Beth woke up because of Kristin's snoring. Beth found that Kate was already up. "Gosh, is it just me or is Kristin really loud?" Beth asked yawning. "It's not just you. I can't believe Zac is still sleeping," Kate said. "I'm not sleeping," Zac said, sitting up and throwing a pillow at Kristin. "Shut up!" All she did was turn on her side. (K.N. (Kristin Note) while we're making fun of each other, Kate snores too, so don't put it all on me!) "How can you guys share a room with her?" "I don't know, I think tonight is one of her bad nights," Beth said. "No kidding." "Hey, I have an idea. How about we let Isaac and Tay in," Beth said as she walked towards the door. Kate followed, "You're not going to wake them up, are you?" "Well, if they're awake they can come in, but if they don't hear me, that's their loss," Beth replied. "Well, I don't know about that with Kristin in here. I'm starting to think the lights better," Zac said. "Come on, let's go in," Kate said opening the doors. "Guys, if you want to come sleep in here you can," Beth said in a little more than a whisper. Isaac and Taylor didn't even move. "Are they even alive?" Zac asked joking. "I don't know, they're pretty zonked out," Kate said. "Oh well, I guess they don'twant to come in our room," Beth said as she walked towards the door. Zac and Kate followed. All of them tried to sleep with the noise, and finally fell asleep around 5:00. Kristin woke up at 7:30, Beth at 9:00, Zac at 9:30, and Kate at 9:45. "I didn't know you guys slept that much," Kristin said. "I didn't know you snored so much," Zac muttered under his breath. "What was that Zac?" Kristin asked. "Nothing, I just said, I didn't know how bored I was." "Let's go get some breakfast," Kate said as she was brushing her hair. "Ok, let's go," Zac said. They all went into the seating area to find Isaac and Taylor already there. "So glad you guys could join us. Why don't you take a seat, on the other side of the room!" Taylor said angrily. "Sorry about last night, but I guess I'm just a ladies man," Zac said to his brothers. "Hey, you shouldn't be complaining, we offered you guys to come in, but you wouldn't," Beth said. "When was this? 5 o'clock in the morning," Isaac asked. "No, I'm pretty sure it was closer to 4 in the morning," Kate said correcting him. "Oh, big difference. Thanks a lot," Isaac said. "You're welcome, now I don't want to hear you complaining again," Beth said. They went up to the counter and grabbed what they wanted to eat, then sat back down by Isaac and Taylor. There wasn't much talking during the breakfast. "Hey guys, we don't have a punishment today!" Zac said trying to start a conversation. "Wow, like we're going to be going anywhere," Taylor said unenthusiastically. "Gosh, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed," Kate said. "Yes I did! Normally this wouldn't of happened because we usually get our own rooms, and if the light was shinning through, I could have went with Ike or Zac!" Taylor said getting mad. "You get your own rooms?" Beth asked. "Yeah," Zac replied. "Oh. I would hate that. Aren't you afraid of the maintenance guy?" Kate asked. "What are you talking about?" Taylor asked. "The maintenance guy who knocks on your door at one o'clock in the morning. This might only apply for females though," Beth said. "Oh yeah, I think it does, but we wouldn't want that to happen to us," Kate said. "Well anyway, after he knocks on the door, he always says 'It's the maintenance guy, I've come to rape- I mean fix the dishwasher.' You think: Oh, I didn't know it was broken. Then you let him in before you realize you don't have a dishwasher. By then you're a goner," Beth told the boys. "Oh yeah, and who told you this?" Taylor asked. "My dad did," Kate answered. "Did your dad have any problems?" Zac asked. "Nope, not that I know of," Kate replied. "I think that was made up," Isaac said. "Made up?! Why would Kate's dad lie to us?" Kristin asked. "Are you guys just playing dumb?" Taylor asked. "No, what made you think that?" Before Taylor had a chance to answer, Walker and Diana came in with the little kids. "Oh good, you're already up," Diana said. "Yeah, it's 10 o'clock," Isaac said. Taylor continued, "Besides, we had this bright light shining into the window all night. We probably only got 4 hours of sleep." "Oh you poor boys must be tired." "Zac's not. He spent the night in the girls', no wait, our room." "Why weren't you in your room?" asked Walker confused. "The girls tricked us into trading rooms. Don't ask," Isaac said. "Well, I was hoping we could be out of here by noon," Diana said to all of them. "Yeah, we can be ready by then," Kate said. They all went swimming again after breakfast, then got ready to go home. (A.N. Kate's dad really did tell us the maintenance guy thing, we didn't make it up!)
