Chapter 62

Everyone was around the breakfast table in the morning. "So what are we going to do today?" Kate asked. "Everybody is going to help me clean this house," Diana answered. "Huh? But our punishment is over," Zac said confused. "Oh well, you're going to help me and that's final," she said. This day was a very boring day. Cleaning the whole house took the whole day, even with everyone in the house helping. They didn't do much after cleaning, just watched some tv. The girls helped Jessica, Avery, and Mackenzie make Valentine's Day cards, then decided to make some for themselves. Everyone went to bed around 10:30 pm. Taylor creeped quietly into the girls room around 12:30. Kate woke up suddenly with the movement in the room. "What are you doing?" she asked. "Nothing, go back to sleep," Taylo replied. "Ok," Kate replied sleepily, going back to bed. In the morning, Beth was the first to get up. She sat up in her bed and looked around the room. She saw a white bear on the dresser. She got up and walked over to the dresser. The bear had a red ribbon around it's neck, and was holding a piece of paper. Beth took the paper and looked at it. It said, "Beth, Happy Valentines Day! Do you like the bear? I saw it in the store and imediately said 'Beth would love this!' (Really, I did! Asked Ike or Zac, they were there.) About the ring," Beth thought to herself, "What ring?" Then she saw the box and figured it must be in the box. She kept reading, "It's real silver, and if you'll accept me as your boyfriend, wear it on your right ring finger. If not, leave it on the ledge by the window on the treehouse. Love, Taylor. P.S. Meet me. I'm on the bottom branch in the willow tree out back. (You know the one)" "His girlfriend," Beth thought to herself as chills went up her spine. She opened the little heart box that the bear was holding. The silver ring was sitting inside of it. Beth took it out of the box, and put it on her right ring finger. The ring had hearts on it. She took it off for a second, and saw something inscribed on the inside. "Beth & Tay Valentine's Day '98" "Oh this is so cool!" Beth thought to herself. She got dressed, a yellow sweater with white and black stripes down the sleeve, and flare legged jeans with socks to match. (Yellow, black and white striped) Beth ran out of the house to meet Taylor in the tree. She hadn't quite put her shoes on all the way, and was running with them half on half off. Before she knew it, she was face to face with the ground. She got up quickly, and put her shoes on all the way before she started walking again towards the tree. When she got there, Taylor was there, but he was laughing hysterically at her. "Oh, be quiet. It wasn't that funny," Beth said. "Yeah, it was. Man, that's one of those times I wish I had a video camera." "Uh, you know, this ring would make a pretty good imprint on your face," Beth said jokingly. "It better not," Taylor said. "I was just joking! What kind of girlfriend would I be if I did that?" "You want to be my girlfriend?" "Well sure, who wouldn't? But do you think it would be ok? Just think how many fans you'd lose," Beth said. "I don't care if we lose all of our fans, just as long as I could be with you. That's the only thing that matters to me." "That's so sweet." "Besides, we wouldn't have to tell the public right away, but we would have to tell them eventually. Wouldn't we?" "Oh, yeah, definately." There was a little bit of silence. "Thanks for the ring," Beth said, giving Taylor a hug, "You really didn't have to." "Yes I did," Taylor replied, looking Beth in the eye, then kissing her. They were both blushing as they backed away. "We really need to work on that blushing thing," Taylor suggested. "Yeah, I think so too." "I think we better go inside. They've probably started eating," Taylor said. "Ok, let's go in. Should we tell the people in there?" Beth asked. "Well, I guess so. If you want to," Taylor replied. They went in the house and walked in the dining room. Everyone looked up. "Bzzzz," Zac said as he started laughing. All the others started laughing to. "Oh that was so funny," Beth said sarcastically, "At least my sock match." Taylor and Beth sat down at the table and ate some breakfast.
