"Hi, ladies," said Brian, "my friend and I were wondering if you two would like to sit with us and our other friends at our table?" Brian looked at me.

"Yeah," said AJ. "We don't like to see two beautiful girls sit alone."

Lila and Adonica looked at each other for a few seconds, then looked at the guys.

"Alright," said Lila, "but how do we know you guys are not a bunch of weird guys who prey on teenage girls."

Brian and AJ laughed. "We're not," they said together.

"We're too busy to do anything other than what we're doing," AJ said.

"Alright, we'll sit with you two and your friends," Adonica said. "But, first, you have to tell us your names."

"Oh, we're sorry. I'm Brian Littrell and this is AJ McLean."

"Hi, Brian and AJ. I'm Adonica McKay and this is Lila McKennen."

"Hey, Adonica and Lila. Shall we escort you two to our table?" asked AJ.

"Of course," said Lila.

Lila and Adonica gathered up their food and carried it to Brian's and AJ's table. The rest of the guys, who were sitting quietly and watching, made room for us.

After we sat down, the rest of the guys introduced themselves: Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough, and Nick Carter. The conversation was pretty lively, everyone getting to know each other. When it was time to leave, everyone felt like they've known everyone else for forever.

Walking out of McDonald's, Lila and AJ walked off to one side by themselves. Brian and Adonica stayed behind a little ways, while Kevin, Howie, and Nick headed towards their car.

"I'm glad I met you, Adonica," Brian said. "Usually, I'm too shy to just walk up to a girl and start talking to her, but I feel comfortable with you."

"Me, too," Adonica said. "I had fun getting to know you and your friends. It was an interesting night. Lila and I have loved your group forever. Since you guys started out almost three years ago."

"You girls know who we are?"

"We were at your concert tonight. Or should I say last night? Anyway, it was an awesome concert and I really enjoyed it."

Glad you like it." Brian looked a little nervous. "Adonica, since we're staying in LA for awhile would you have dinner with me tomorrow?"

"Don't you mean tonight?" Adonica teased. "Yeah, sure. That would be great."

"Okay, great," Brian said, looking extremely relieved. "I'll pick you up at seven-thirty. Alright?"

"Yeah, fine. See you tonight."

"Okay."

Brian waved and got into the car. Lila and AJ were just finished talking. Lila walked over by me and, together, we watched as our favorite singing group drove off.

"So, what were you and Brian talking about?" Lila asked, knowingly.

"Nothing much, but he did ask me out to dinner tonight. What about you? You and AJ hooking up later?"

"Of course! Did you ever doubt it?" Lila smiled.

"Who knows, Lila. This could be the start of something extremely cool."

Adonica was right. It was the beginning of something cool, but she didn't know it would lead to her destiny....
