Artichoke Heart

This beaded amulet purse is made of
Japanese antique type seed beads.
The method of construction is a combination
of the flat and tubular peyote stitches.
The strap is square stitch.
Included in the fringe treatment
are 2mm Garnets and 4mm
corrugated Goldfilled beads.
This piece was inspired by
Scott Jackson
Artichoke Heart won first place in the Seed
Bead category at Embellishment '95.
This piece is currently touring nationally with
THE REBELLIOUS BEAD until the year 2000
Burnished Cobalt 3D

This beaded amulet purse is made of
Japanese antique type seed beads.
The method of construction is a combination
of the flat and the tubular peyote stitch.
The three dimensional effect is achieved
by going back after the body is completed
and adding a second layer of beads.
Included in the fringe treatment are
2mm by 3mm faceted Iolite beads
and 3mm round Iolite beads.
