I am Asian.

What does that mean?
Rene Tajima-Pena, in her film
"My America... Or Honk if you Love Buddha",
ponders the question:
What do Asian Americans have in common?

Her answer:
"Well, we all eat rice."

I wasn't really big on "Asianess" until I took a class on Asian American History recently.
It was one of the few courses I actually really enjoyed at Yuckla.
The professor, Valerie Matsumoto, is one of the very few (two)
profs there that is wonderful as a prof and as a person.

So, I'm Asian.
Asian-American.
That means I'm good at math, right?
WRONG.
Does it mean I'm short?
Well, I'm short, but there are lots of tall Asians.
Damn them all, I say!
Does it mean I like Chinese pop stars?
NO!

It means I eat rice!
And lots of it!

The End.
