"As memory can be a paradise
from which we cannot be driven,
it may also be a hell
from which we cannot escape."

This is a drawing by Aubrey Beardsley, one of my favorite artists. It is called The Dancer's Reward, and it was one of his drawings done for Oscar Wilde's Salome. If you think this drawing is weird, you should check out some of his other stuff. He lived in late nineteenth century England and was a very controversial figure. Just for your information, he was part of the English Aesthetic Movement and was a genius!!! Really! He developed his work and achieved fame and glory in a few short years. He died when he was twenty-five. Okay, that's all.
