THE NARK (INFORMER)

In the town of Wloszczowa,where my family lived,there was a very good friend of the family,Lolek Bitoft,son of the local Polish-Christian farmacist. He was the best friend of the family, when young Izio was born, he use to hold him and to play with him for hours. He was friend of Lila and my father's. Years of the dark days came,and Lolek lived in Warsaw for his medicine studies. While Nazi gestapo was looking for jews and some polish known as "Szmacowniki" (Informers or Narkers) were hunting jews in order to receive some ransom from the gestapo,Lolek met Izio,(which was under borrowed identity) and blackmailed him for uncovering him if he wouldn't get money.Izio had to colect money to save his life.He also was bitten nearly to death by Lolek's friends.
