THE INNER SIDE OF EVEREST
Well, welcome to Everest's Mountain.
It's a place where you can get away from it all and just relax,
be yourself. Get crzy or just take a nap. No big deal.
The place may be more of a mole hill now but it's growing each
time you come here put a little soil down and sign the guest book
and someday we'll have a great view for sure.
It's nice to have you here to visit.
Go to the Guessed Book and tell me your loves, hates, and
suggestions.
This place has been online for maybe a month now and now has:
1. Some of my poems with some pictures.
2. Dolphin Links (hey they're amazing creatures, maybe I'll dig a
hole in the back yard and bring one home with me sometime?)
3. Poet Friend Links
4. A Counter with an interactive back-scratcher
(you're assistance required).
5. A Guestbook (sign it or your mouse may starve! *S*)
I'm working on links to exotic places, free concert tickets for each
visitor (the rock artists could help with this), free money
(ok...probably very hard to come up with free money *S*, but
maybe faxable cybermoney?), and computer programs for making
icecream in your CD rom (hard part is keeping the computer in
the freezer for week or turning the a/c down to about 18 degrees)
I'm a college guy at the Univ. of Ole Miss in Oxford, Missississississippi.
I'm not an English major or even lieutentant,
but I love to write poetry and prose.
I played high school football and also studied hard
(the young librian downtown was gorgeous!)
Not sure what to do with my life and few talents, yet,
but when I do I'll let you know though.
For now make a "X" on your screen and come back some & check on my
progress or regress when ya can!
IN THE SUMMER HEAT
In the summer heat of sun
One young somber slender son,
Came down the lonesome road like dust
And settled there amongst the rust
Of oldish men and tattered women
Stayed among the long grass swimming.
There they sang the sparkling song of summer
Until everyone danced, and danced as younger.
WOULD TO WHISPER
Would to whisper
Kisses through
The eyelids you
Sleep beneath.
Then see the dreams
That run in colours
Of delight
Within your sight.
Would to feel
The rushing flood
Of tempered blood
Within your veins,
As each smiling day
Of very happy
Sunshine plays
Upon the beach
Within the sea
While we're together.
Would to fire
The roaring blaze
On winter days
And midnight's
Coldest biting haze,
While snuggled close
In heavy cover,
Close as we can
Get together.
Trying hard
To survive
And be happy there,
Alive this time
And forever.
