WHAT MAKES THE BIBLE DIFFERENT?!?

1. Title, Subject, and Author

The Bible is the book of books! It's called, The Holy Bible. This book claims to be holy. That means it is separate from any other book that has been written. There's no other book like this one.

2. Continuity

By continuity, I mean that the Bible tells one, continuous STORY from beginning to ending. The Bible tells this story with perfect unity and harmony. What makes that unique is that this story was told over a 1600-year period (1500 BC 100 AD). To futher complicate matters, over forty writers recorded the story. Can you imagine over forty different authors writing over 1600-year period, yet telling their story with perfect unity and harmony?

And these writers were not from the same neighborhood either. Therefore, they would not be conditioned by their environments to think alike. They should have seen things differently since they were from every walk of life.

The story was written in three lanuages (Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek), on three continents (Asia, Africa, and Europe)

3. Reliably Preserved

God has preserved His word. We do not have any original manuscripts of the Bible, if we did we would probably worship them. There are no original Old Testament manuscripts because the newer copies were considered superior to the old. This was due to the fact that Hebrew scribes were so precise in preparing the newer copies. Therefore, the older copies were discarded.

We have no original New Testament manuscripts because the New Testament was written on a perishable material called "papyrus", the Greek word for paper. Therefore, the reliability of our current historical documents are largely based on the number of copies that were made of the original. The More copies that were made the more copies we would have to compare for errors.

There are only five to ten copies of the writings of men such as Aristole, Plato, and Socrates. And there is a 1000 to 1500-year time gap between the original writings and the earliest copies we have of their original writings and the earliest copies we have of their writings.

The evidence ot support the reliability of the Bible is overwhelming. There are approximately 5000 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament. Many of these manuscripts are within 200 to 300 years of the original writings. In addition, there are numerous early translations, as well as the writtings of the early Christian leaders.

4. The Bible Changes Lives!!!!!!!!!!!

God is a life changing God. No one who has ever come in contact with Him has ever been the same. It is very easy to say bad things about something that you have only heard about, something that you have never tried yourself. I challenge everyone to apply the word of God to their lives!!!! You owe it to yourself to at least conclusively, without a shadow of a doubt, prove that the STORY of Jesus Christ is not true, because if it is, and you don't believe in Him...

THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY!!!!!!!!!!

THINK ABOUT IT!!!!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (St. John 3:16 KJV.)
