~"Taylor's boxers"~

Keryn pulled herself out her bed and started to make her way out of the room and down the hall. She ran her fingers through her long, dark brown hair as her feet quietly whispered down the hall. She loved an early morning in Tulsa. Everything was so peaceful. In Los Angeles you couldn’t really tell the time of the day unless you looked at the clock. Tulsa was different though. Just by smelling the fresh early air she knew it was five-thirty, six at the most. Her eyes closed as she saw a light coming from the kitchen. She yawned and walked towards it.

"Zac!" she quickly brightened. Zac was startled as he swung around to see who the voice belonged to.

"Wow, You’re back!" he replied with a smile.

"Yep, where were you yesterday?"

"Friend’s house...how’s it been?". He thought for a moment "It has been ages since I have seen you!"

"Oh, I know. It would have been three years now." Keryn looked at him. ‘They are all changing’ she thought to herself. When she left Zac he was a tiny little cute thing. Now, he was a growing teenager. Amazing.

"Wanna go to the front porch?" he asked

"Sure" she replied as she looked at the clock. It was 5:55 a.m.

They were out on the porch. "Brings back memories, huh?" Zac said thinking of the times when Keryn and he came out the front of the house when they couldn’t sleep properly.

"Uh huh. I hate not being able to sleep" she replied. She looked up and smelt the air. "But you really wouldn’t want to miss this".

"When did you get all mushy?" he laughed.

"Hey, don’t start" she joked. She looked into the air again. "So, what’s it like to be famous?"

"It is wild" Zac screeched.

"You guys are so lucky!" she said. "You are really getting out there and living what you wanted to do when I left. It’s awesome"

He smiled. They both heard a noise and looked for the source. Through the door Zac and Keryn could see a tired Taylor bobbing through the house looking for voices.

"Out here" Zac called.

Taylor turned and came toward the front door. He looked down at the two and grinned. "G’day mate" he said in his best Australian accent. He liked to do that to Keryn, just to annoy her. Although she grew up in Tulsa, her entire family is from Australia. They moved here just after Keryn was born, moving back when Keryn settled at school. Keryn wanted that. To gain some independence and just study to herself.

"Geez Taylor. You sound like you are from England" Keryn laughed. Although he didn’t sound very Aussie it was really funny when he tried.

Taylor jumped off the porch and took residence on the front lawn.

"What are you doing up so early" Zac asked Taylor.

"Couldn’t sleep"

"mm hmm" Zac said as he thought to himself. With that he got up and started walking over to the driveway. "Tay, those people moving in today?"

"Ahh. Yeah, Mom said noon."

"Oh, Darn"

"What?" Keryn asked.

Taylor looked at her. "He has been in their yard with his skateboard for the last month".

"Why?" Keryn asked, looking in Zac’s direction.

"They have concrete." Zac replied.

"Oh. Hmmm... okay then". Keryn got up and started heading for the door.

"Where you going?" Tay wanted to know.

"I am going to get ready. Remember, you promised. Please please please take me to the airport" she pleaded.

"What will I get for it?" Tay smiled.

"Hmmmmm" Keryn thought for a moment. "What do you want?"

Taylor thought for a moment. "Ummm..."

"Hey!" Keryn interrupted. "You will have my company all day. I think that is enough."

"Haha" he laughed in reply.

Keryn smiled and disappeared into the house.

Taylor laid down on the grass. Zac looked and him and laughed. "Jeez Tay, look at you".

"What?"

"You are lying on the front lawn in a pair of boxers." Zac laughed. "There are people trying to eat breakfast, not to mention the people that are on their early morning walks."

"Ooops" Tay realised. He looked down. He was too. Taylor got up and went outside. "I am going to get dressed" he said to Zac "Don’t start making noise next door. There are people that are still sleeping". With that he went to his room and started getting ready to start the journey back to the airport.

"Thanks for doing this for me Taylor" Keryn said as they arrived at the airport. It was a sunny day and the drive was nice.

"Hey, stop thanking me. I like the drive". He smiled as they walked into the entrance. Today Taylor had a strange looking hat on to disguise himself incase of a repeat of yesterdays incident.

Keryn and Taylor found a seat and sat down to wait for Kayla.

"So" Taylor said. "We haven’t really caught up all that much yet."

"Mmm. I suppose we haven’t"

They both looked at each other.

"You haven’t changed at all" he said.

"Well, you have" Keryn replied.

"Huh?" Taylor looked puzzled.

"Oh, you are still the same great person" she said playfully punching him in the arm.

"You just look a bit different, thats all". ‘Oh God’ Keryn thought to herself ‘Why the hell did I say that?’ "What do you mean?"

Before Keryn had the chance to answer she was saved from the scream of her name from the other side of the airport. "Keryn!"

Keryn looked at Taylor. "Kayla’s here"

They both got up and started to walk into the direction of the scream. Keryn spotted her as she ran towards them. Each of her arms were attached to suitcases.

"Kayla" Keryn called "How was the flight?" Keryn threw her arms open to her friend to give some welcome and support for events of the past few days in LA.

Kayla got a bit caught up in the moment, she completely ignored Keryn’s arms and jumped at Taylor throwing her arms around his neck.

"Ahh" Taylor laughed.

Keryn looked at the two and laughed "Kayles, you are crazy!"

Kayla sat in the back seat of the car and apologised to Taylor for the third time. "I’m sorry, I just kind of.....well, you look different in real life."

"Different?" Taylor said.

"Yes." Kayla didn’t really know what to say. There was a bit of a pause.

"So, Kayla, you never really answered my question. How what the flight?"

"Oh, it was okay. I just couldn’t stop thinking about Dan."

"Stop that Kayla. Don’t think about Dan."

"Don’t start on me again."

"I can’t help it" Keryn said, turning to Kayla. "He is a bad influence on you". Kayla kind of shuffled in her seat. "Where did you stay last night" Keryn sort of changed the subject.

"Justin’s" Kayla said as a smile began to form on her face.

"Wow, is he still a babe?" Keryn looked at Kayla smiling her head off.

"You only saw him two days ago!" Kayla laughed.

Taylor turned around and laughed at the two. "Geez" Taylor said looking at Keryn. "You have guys on the brain!"

"Ha ha." Keryn said, laughing at Taylor. "Watch the road and let us two catch up."

Kayla looked back at Keryn. "Uh huh. He is a total hottie!". Justin was twenty one. He went to UCLA and he came to know Keryn and Kayla through the tennis matches they used to go and watch at the school.

"How did you manage that?" Keryn asked with interest.

"Well, after I hung up with you I went and sat outside the phone box with the phone book looking for hotels."

"And?"

"He saw me and wondered what on earth I was doing. So, after pouring my heart out to him, he took me in"

"He is so nice." Keryn smiled.

"Hey!" Taylor broke his silence from the drivers seat. "I am taking you in too!" he laughed.

"Oh Taylor" Keryn said "You are simply nicer than nice"

"You are, Taylor" Kayla said from the backseat. "I really appreciate this."

"It’s fine" said Taylor.

"Really, I definitely owe you one."

"No you don’t" Taylor said turning to look at Kayla.

Kayla smiled at him. "Thanks"
