~"Titanic"~

Kayla squinted as she looked up at the sun. It gave her a somewhat painful comfort at this stressful time. She looked over at Keryn, who didn't look very stressed at all. Kayla supposed it was because of her confusion on the whole subject. Kayla dug her hands deep into her pockets and sighed. This was not working out.

"Where are they?" She demanded at Keryn.

Keryn snapped out of her trance and looked down at her watch. "Kayla, they'll be here, they're not gonna not be here. Their plane got in an hour ago. They will be here any minute."

Kayla breathed in and out as she looked at the monster like ship in front of her. It was bright white and comforting. More of an angel than a monster. It was their angelic monster. The water reflected the glistening on the side of the ship. It was like a dream ship.

Kayla looked through the small windows. There wasn't that much to be seen from this distance, but they looked cozy. Her eyes travelled up to the decks. Long and straight, they looked as if they were neverending. Her skin tingled as she imagined the beautiful night walks. Awesome.

"Babe!" a voice was now trying to get her attention. Keryn had never called her 'babe' before. Kayla was still in her exploring ship mode. She felt someone shake her and then plaster her face with a long, deep kiss. This definietely wasn't Keryn. She sprung back into life.

"Ike!!!!" She screamed to everyone on the dock. "Isaac's here!" Kayla started jumping.

"They know I'm here" he smiled and pointed towards the large man on his right. "This is Josh. He'll be like our security for the time being."

Kayla put out her hand to the man as he spoke "It's great to meet you finally. Don't say anything to anyone. It's just that this whole security point is for us to stay a little bit away. I'll seeya some time." He smiled and started to walk away.

"Nice to meet you" Kayla smiled. She gazed into Ike's eyes and he stared back. "Lookin' forward to all this?" She asked.

"More than anything."

Kayla scanned the crowd. She totally forgot about Keryn. Where was she? Her eyes found Taylor first, nice of him to come and say hello. She smiled. He was speaking to Keryn. She seemed happy to see him.

Keryn was looking in the direction of Kayla's eyes. She was admiring the ship. Keryn thought it was beautiful, in all of it's mysteriousness.

"Ahhh. . . Keryn I presume?" Keryn smiled as the sunlight hit her face. She heard his voice.

"Taylor!" She turned around and gave him a big hug. "It's so great to see you."

He held her tight. "It's great to see you too."

"Was that Josh?" Keryn looked at the man walking away.

"Uh huh. He's looking after us again."

"Cool, he was cool."

Taylor reached down and took Keryn's hand. "Old times?"

Keryn grinned wildly. "Old times!!"

Keeping hold of her hand he started to run up and down the dock like a mad person. It was really fun for Keryn, doing crazy things.

"Woah, Tay, slow down. I don't have the strength like before." She laughed. They walked up to Kayla and Ike. Who gave them confused stares. This caused Keryn and Tay to look at each other. They rolled their eyes. No one understood friendship these days.

The four teenagers admired the ship one more time before it was their turn to go in. Kayla went first, followed by Isaac. Keryn being pushed over the little bridge by Taylor. They were ready to go!

Taylor and Ike went off to find the rooms while Keryn and Kayla set out for some much needed exploring of the cruise ship.

"This is so fun!" Keryn brightened. She seemed to have a glow in her that hadn't appeared for about a week.

"I reckon! It feels so great. Wait till we start moving. What a blast!"

Keryn breathed in the fresh air from the sea. "This is amazing."

"Hey Kezz dude?"

"What?"

"Wanna wait here, I have to go to the bathroom."

Keryn put on an old ladies voice. "Didn't you go before we left?" They laughed and walked to the toilets.

Keryn waited for Kayla. She seemed like she had been in there forever, there must've been a queue.

Keryn let her eyes wander. There were tonnes of people in this little foyer complex. No one that really stood out. Families, teenagers like themselves, older couples and a hot guy.

A hot guy?

Keryn scanned over him. He was amazing. She wouldn't say as hot as Taylor, but he was hot. He had a nice build. Looked about eighteen. Browny golden hair, waved down his face, falling just about at his chin. Brushed back behind his ears. He had board shorts on and a navy blue shirt. The clothes framed his dark tanned skin. As if he had grown up in the sun.

He turned around for her to see his face. His eyes were simply amazing. Radiant. Bright blue. They were big and beautiful. They completely lit up his face, sending light beams to light up the smile that appeared as he sweetly picked up a fallen toy for a young child. He was addictive.

"That's amazing" Keryn heard Kayla gasp from behind her.

Keryn was startled and turned around. "You saw?"

Kayla nodded in shock. "I saw."

"He's mine" Keryn laughed.

"You can share him thank you very much!"

Kayla smiled as they watched mystery dude walk away. This could be serious fun.

"Oh crap." Taylor said as he fumbled through his suitcase.

"What?" Ike walked over to his brother.

"Do you think I bought my discman?"

"I'm guessin' no."

"You're right. This is going to be so boring."

Ike looked at his brother in astonishement. "What? I thought you wanted to come?"

"I did. But I think she emphasised on the whole friends thing a little too much."

"You're still not obsessed with that are you?"

"No."

"Get her to find out what she's missing. Do something outragously wild!"

Taylor smiled. "Like what?"

"I don't know. You'll think of something." Ike went back to his suitcase. "Tay?"

"Yah?"

"What about Margo?"

"Shit. I forgot about her." Taylor stopped what he was doing. Him and Margo had been getting closer lately. She still annoyed him, but they seemed to get on okay.

"When was the last time you saw her?"

Taylor looked down at the ground. "Ahh, last night" he mumbled.

"Taylor, you can't do that to them. Seriously now, you have to do something about this."

"I know Ike, I know what I'm doing. Give me time."

"Whats he know what he's doing?" Keryn laughed and stumbled into the small room.

"Just stuff about packing." Taylor covered up. "It's great to see you again."

Ike rolled his eyes at his brothers pathetic ways.

"It's great to see you too Tay." She smiled.

"Where's Kayla?" Ike asked.

"She was behind me a second or two ago."

Right then Kayla burst into the room and looked at Keryn. "I saw him again." She mouthed, wide eyed.

"Who?" Ike asked.

Keryn looked at Ike, she couldn't believe Kayla had just burst out in front of him. "Mysterious dude. Uhhh, he's some old guy that looked like he was in Titanic." Keryn lied.

Ike walked over to Kayla and put his arms around her. "The ship is not going to sink Kayl. Don't worry about it." Kayla dug her face into Ike's shoulder, how could she be so stupid?

Taylor walked over to Keryn. "Let's go explore. Leave these two weirdos to hug." "Fine with me." She smiled as they left the room.

"Now tell me who he really was?" Taylor laughed when they were on the top of the deck.

"Would I lie to you Taylor baby?"

He laughed again. "So, who is he?"

"Just some guy. I didn't really look at him." Keryn said.

"Knowing you, you stared for hours" Taylor sighed as he leaned on the railings and looked out at the ocean. The ship had been moving away for a while now. It was an amazing sight.

"I don't think so Taylor" Keryn said.

"So, what do you wanna do?"

"This is nice. The ocean looks cool."

"Thats what I was thinking. I can't believe dad let us do this!"

"I didn't think that he would. But you're lucky. You're here."

"I know. It's great." Taylor stared out at the blue ripples moving towards the coast. "You know something?"

"What?" Keryn asked, dazed from the water.

"The very last time we saw each other was at the airport."

Keryn gasped at the realisation. "You're right." She completely forgot that was the last time, it was as if they had seen each other since.

"Doesn't seem like it, hey?"

"No way. That was a. . . an. . . interesting moment." She kept her eyes on the water.

"Do you think we got anything from it?"

Keryn looked at Taylor, right into his eyes. "What?"

"You heard."

She buried her face in her hands. "You know well Taylor. I told you what I felt, and still, it hasn't got through." She couldn't believe that she had to open up to him again. This time in person.

"Keryn, you never really said the words."

"You don't need to hear them Taylor."

Taylor's eyes travelled back to the coast. "Fine."

There was silence for a few minutes. It was extremely calm. The noise from the people walking past, ship noises. It was all drowned out. Keryn wished she could just sleep on this deck, rather than being cooped up in a room at night. It would be amazing.

She felt Taylor move closer, she shivered. It was getting cold. He sensed it and put his arms around her. He turned his head and put up his hand to turn hers. They stared into each others eyes. He moved in closer.

"Don't Taylor" she pulled away. "Just don't start this."

"What? Why?"

"Leave it Taylor. It's too hard."

She took one last look at the ocean and walked away from him.

Keryn hated this feeling. She ran down the corridors, they were endless. How was she supposed to face him again? She had no idea. It would be impossible. This was all completely. Everything was going fine, now nothing could be worse. Keryn brushed her hair back from her face and got ready to turn into the next hallway. She had no idea where the room was, she would just have to look. She swung around the corner. Everything went thud. Two massive bags and went to the floor, their holder and Keryn.

"Shit" she mumbled. "I am so sorry!" She looked up at the bag carrier. It's mysterious dude! She squealed to herself.

"It's okay." He picked up his bags and sprang away as fast as he had appeared, leaving Keryn dumbfounded on the floor.

Keryn was just about to get up and continue her journey when Taylor rounded the corner.

He rolled his eyes. "What are you doing?" He seemed to be acting very cold. She realised that she probably looked kinda stupid sitting on the floor. She just stared up at him.

The next thing she knew, Kayla jumped out of the room and started to laugh when she saw Keryn. Keryn jumped up off the floor, stared at Taylor and pushed Kayla into their room.

"What's with you two?" She asked.

"Nothing." Keryn mumbled. "Guess what?"

"What?"

"I just saw mysterious dude!!!"

"Where?!"

"He bashed into me. That's why I was on the floor!"

"What did he say?"

"Nothing much. He was a bit of a snob."

"Aww, he didn't seem like it earlier."

"Guess what else??"

"What?"

"He's Australian!"

"Wow! You're joking?"

"Nope, I noticed in the one sentence he gave me!"

"Wow, we are going to have to track down this guy."

Keryn laughed and layed down on the bed. "It'll give me something to do, hey?"

Kayla laughed. "Cheer up already!"

Tay stood on the top deck. He was hitting himself for being the biggest idiot he knew, and he knew a lot of idiots. Keryn was going to hate him, she probably would find this guy she was running around after and then forget about him. The breeze blew in his face and everything was picture perfect. Well almost. Keryn went off by herself and Kayla and Ike were still eating downstairs. It had been so weird at dinner, Keryn hadnt eaten and then left early..and then Taylor couldnt stand it and had left too. Ike and Kayla didnt seem to notice the moods, or maybe they pretended not to. Taylor suddenly became aware of somebody next to him. It was Keryn. She didn't say anything. She just stood. He could deal with that. He would stand there all night just to hear her say something. He didn't have to wait long.

"Taylor, we can't keep on going like this..we have to make a decision, fighting and falling out takes too much energy."

"We dont fight"

"Okay..well we have cold wars then. We go through stages of no talking. We have to sort this out. I dont care how long it takes. We have a 10 day cruise ahead of us. There is no escape."

"So what do you suggest."

"What do I suggest?" Keryn paused as she thought. The answer came quickly. "I want a answer to my question."

Taylor took a sharp breath. This was not what he wanted. He didn't actually know what he wanted. But this directness wasn't it. He turned to face her.

"Keryn…"

"Don't Keryn me..tell me."

Taylor looked at her. Their connection was so strong that it felt stupid having to spell everything out.

"Okay…I am dead confused. I dont know what to think. This Justin thing, do you like him..how can I tell you what I think if Justin is still everything to you. You know what I think Keryn. You know."

"Justin means nothing compare to you taylor..Nothing."

Taylor was shocked. He was stuck for word now. He had to say something…but how..it just came out.

"Well then, if it safe..Keryn I love you like mad."

Keryn looked doubtful. Taylor wondered what he had done wrong now.

"What about Margo."

"She's a friend."

"A friend?"

"I was on rebound..I felt so bad after..after the airport."

Keryn looked out at the sea again.

"So Tay, what are we going to do."

"Keryn we have 10 days..well 9 now..lets give it a trial. We have to promise to still be the best of friends if everything screws up."

Keryn nodded. They both smiled as the hugged and returned to looking out at the sea. Now the picture was perfect. For the time being.
