Dear Annie,
I am really upset. I liked this guy, Jimmy, and I thought he liked me. My friends all knew this, and they told me to ask him out. I waited a week, and finally got the courage to do it. I called him, and he told me that he was going out with my best friend, the one who had encouraged me the most. What do I do?
-Betrayed
Well Betrayed,
I think the best thing to do in this situation is to forgive and forget. Let your friend know how much she hurt you. If you and Jimmy were destined to be together, nothing your friend could have done would have stopped you. Most relationships around your age don't last anyways. Friendships, however, can last forever.
Hey Annie!
I was just writing to say that your column is awesome. By the way, what's the best way to peel a bannana?
-Staci
Uh.....
Well, after consulting several experts on the subject =) I came up with the anwswer. You take the bannana, hold it with one hand, and take the brown top of it and peel it down. Then you take the piece left over and peel that down. Then you eat it. What's the big deal, anyways? Bannanas are gross. Sorry, but that's just my opinion. Hope this helps.
Annie,
I have an incredible fear of bugs. Ladybugs, cockroaches, wasps, anything. But my worst fear is of spiders and scorpions. I live in Arizona, and they are both common here. I'm terrified that they are going to bite me and I'll die. What can I do to get over my fear?
-Phobic about Bugs
Dear Phobic,
Have you seen Arachnaphobia? Well don't if you haven't. I' m no psychologist, but what caused this fear? Was someone in your family killed by a bug? Were you stung by a scorpion? The first thing to do to get over your fear is to find out why it occurs. I recommend you see a psychologist to help you get over your fear if you are really phobic. I hope you can get some help!
